Wrong! A man can only claim to be the head of the family if and only if the woman in the relationship with him agrees to such a union. Otherwise, he is a partner, more or less her equal in the relationship. OP needs to figure out his exact kind of relationship to understand how to move forward in his case.

Bullying your woman into accepting your opinion is never a solution to the problem in marriage. If you are at the point that you feel you are frustrated that you are not getting your way in a relationship that is supposed to exist between two people, then you should probably seek professional marriage counseling to help you better work on bridging the communication gap that exists in your marriage.

A man that leads himself well (which also mean he can lead others well) wont have to control people. There will be no need for it. Control is a feature of tyranny, and to control people is harder, because it is imposed, unlike genuine submission that comes from the inside.

But if after a man lead well but with a rebellious woman, then he is at fault for not selecting wisely. A high quality man makes high quality choices. You cant go choose an ogbanje and pissed she doesnt go to church.

It is more noble and harder to rule yourself than to conquer a city (Proverb 16.32)

I wonder why you associated not going to church with ogbanje? Or do you think not being religious automatically make someone a bad person?
