Streetinvestor2:Nice portfolio you have there. Your average price is lovely, though I haven't seen the quantity . But, it goes to show one thing that you have been long in the market. Though, you didn't enter NAHCO, UCAP and Transcorp early enough. From the part that was shown, you have fundamental stock, except for the Oando that made you show the clip. But, I hope your Oando is not just 1000units . (I have a funny habit, i don't like exiting a company completely because I don't want to fill e-mandate again in case i re-enter, that is for dividend paying stocks). ![]() |

essentialone:I also observed this too o. A stock that had already gained maximum 10%. Lost the 10% and another 10% from it's opening price. That is losing 20% in a day. In fact, it was on full offer. It almost closed N1.09, but managed N1.11 Lesson learnt: Avoid stocks without fundamentals. |

The Nigerian All-Share Index crossed the 130,000 threshold for the first time on July 17, 2025, rising by 1,316.8 points to close at 130,283.8, boosted by strong gains in cement stocks and FIRSTHOLDCO. This marks a 1.02% gain from the previous day’s close of 128,967.1, despite a slight decline in trading volume. Market participation eased somewhat, as daily volume slipped to 1.19 billion shares, downfrom 1.24 billion shares exchanged in the prior session. May FEMI succeed in helping ME move FIRSTBANK above UBA and crossing #60, so that my AUDIO BILLIONS can become real because ELLAH AUDIO BILLIONS is still doing people somehow ![]() |

H1 Results. Where are those early filers like MTN, Dangote Cement, UCAP, Wapco, NB. I thought by now, we would start seeing H1 results or is it next week. I hope the result of UCAP will be good, i don't like the way the price is gradually going down. Maybe, no interim dividend this year. |

Here are the latest projections and strategic outlook for First Bank of Nigeria plc (via its parent FBN Holdings) as of early and mid‑2025: 📌 Capital & Strategic Initiatives As of Q1 2025, FBN Holdings aims to raise its capital base to N730 billion, exceeding the Central Bank of Nigeria’s N500 billion minimum by the March 2026 deadline. This builds on a N150 billion rights issue (closed Dec 2024) and a planned N350 billion raise approved in Nov 2024 . Capital proceeds will support FirstBank’s operational expansion, digital banking enhancement, automation, and regional footprint growth across Africa, UK, France, and China . 📈 Growth Metrics & Financial Performance (Historical Basis for Forecasts) In the first nine months of 2024: Gross earnings surged to ~N2.25 trillion (vs N962 billion in 2023), signaling 134% YoY growth. Net profits jumped to N610.9 billion over nine months (vs N267.9 billion prior year). Total assets expanded ~62% to N27.5 trillion, and deposits rose 57% to N16.7 trillion. ROAE improved to ~32.8%, while ROAA reached ~3.2% . For full-year 2024, projected annual figures suggested earnings around N2.8 trillion with underlying momentum from high digital adoption and diversified income . 🔮 Projections for Full‑Year 2025 While FBN Holdings hasn’t published formal detailed projections for FY 2025 yet, available data and strategic direction imply: Gross earnings expected to exceed N3 trillion, building on strong Q4 2024 and Q1 performance. Net income projected to continue expansion beyond N600 billion as digital-led revenue, increased lending, and a stronger capital base bolster returns. EPS should remain robust (likely >859 kobo), assuming continued profitability and effective cost control. Balance sheet: Assets and loan book expected to grow meaningfully, supported by capital raise efforts. Profitability ratios (ROAE, ROAA) are targeting sustained levels in the 3%+ range, depending on margin dynamics and funding costs. ✅ Summary Table Category Current/Near-term Position 2025 Projection Capital Base Targeting N730 billion by Q1 2025 Fully recapitalized beyond N500 b minimum by deadline Gross Earnings (9M 24) ~N2.25 trn (134% YoY) >N3 trn likely, based on strong momentum Net Income (9M 24) ~N610.9 billion Likely >N600 billion for full year EPS (Dec 2023 base) ~859 kobo (full year) Moderate YoY growth—potentially well above 1 Naira Asset/Loans/Deposits Assets ~N27.5 trn; loans N9.4 trn; deposits N16.7 trn Continued double-digit growth across balance sheet items Profitability (ROAE) ~32.8%; ROAA ~3.2% Marginal gains possible, based on improved interest and fees ⚙️ Operational Drivers Expansion of digital banking platforms (FirstMobile, FirstOnline, Lit App, *894#, etc.) where over 90% of customer transactions now run . Strong performance in interest income (up ~165% to N1.63 trillion in 9M24) and non-interest income (up ~82%) suggests diversified revenue base . Despite macro pressures like high CRR (~50%), FirstBank appears well-positioned via its scale, digital penetration, and capital strength . --- 🧭 Final Thoughts As of mid‑July 2025, formal FY 2025 guidance has not been released, but underlying business trends and strategic actions signal strong financial performance ahead: A fully recapitalized balance sheet enabling scalable growth. Double-digit growth in revenue and earnings through digital and interest-driven engines. Continued delivery of strong returns on equity/assets with improving efficiency and funding flow. Once Q2, Q3 or full‑year official guidance is published (e.g. earnings releases due July 29, October 23, and April 2026) you’ll have more specific figures. But early indicators point to a highly positive outlook for 2025. |

The Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has uncovered a fresh racket involving some of its affiliate marketers and strategic partners who have been diverting subsidised refined petroleum products for profit, prompting the suspension of the refinery’s discounted fuel supply scheme. Investigations by the refinery revealed that certain marketers who were granted discounted products, meant to ensure affordability and steady supply across retail outlets, had been re-routing the loaded trucks to unregistered third-party marketers. The scheme was originally designed to support Dangote’s registered affiliate marketers in achieving stable profit margins amid price competition from fuel importers, while also guaranteeing nationwide availability of the refinery’s products. However, the marketers were found to be circumventing the distribution chain by allowing importing, non-registered marketers to pick up products from the refinery using their Authority To Collect loading ticket. This allowed them to cash in on the price differential without incurring legitimate costs associated with logistics, retail station operations, or administrative compliance, making fast profit. The refinery noted that the diverted products were often sold at market rates far above the agreed subsidised prices, effectively undermining the core objectives of the scheme and distorting the downstream market. Miffed by this situation, the refinery directed the suspension of its discount scheme for its customers with effect from July 13, 2025. |

Ote$ seems to be having the last laugh... I won't be surprised if online keyboard haters of his start fighting him but FEMI na cowboy just like Tony wey sabi this game... He will simply ignore them while helping my FBN get to envious heights like GEREGU ![]() On a serious note, I said it that FIRSTBANK will get to 35 and it's there now... The next hurdle is crossing that 40... If achieved 50, 60 and probably 80 The journey might not be easy just like ELLAH in the days of 3 but it won't be longer

I don't know how Nascon has been moving below my radar all this while without noticing. The company is been run well. Good income statement, Balance sheet is impressive and cash flow statement very nice. Some observations - DIO = 67 - Inventory sits in warehouse on an average 67 days before been sold. That is a bit on the high side. Should be less than a month. Signals not so much demand or high competition from other players in the market. DSO = 28 days - average days to get back receivables which is good. DPO = 12 days - Takes 12 days to pay suppliers. Overall - Cash get used up faster, tied up compared to the time taken to generate cash. In the mean time, the FCF and OCF are positive and increasing. CCC = 82 - it takes on average 82 days to buy(use up cash) inventory, process it, sell and get back cash (generate). Capex/Dep is 0.6 - 60% of depreciation is capital expenditure. The machines are depreciating faster than the money invested back into them to avoid breakdowns and increase production on the long run. Current Price #74.9. At P/E of 10, my implied FY price should be around #100. roughly a 25% upside |
