So they deliberately manipulated Oando share price to N50.25 (as at Friday 18-Jul-2025) so they could use N50 per share in the notice of AGM for the raising of N500bn additional capital.

OandO needs new capital injection if they must survive.
Most people here knew that Oando needed/needs to raise capital to be able to generate better returns and value to shareholders.
Some of us were/are optimistic that the company would rectify some of its liquidity problems and improve going forward, because no business owner would deliberately fold his arms and watch a big business fold up.
But some people were stuck with their experience in the past and completely wrote off Oando, claiming it would not survive because the auditors wrote a damning qualified opinion on the going concern prospects of the company.
We kept repeating that no company in the upstream sector has ever collapsed due to insolvency and that Oando has reserves that can generate net cashflow in excess of $11b.

Meanwhile, I am suspecting the 10billion new shares (N500bn) will be used to settle the $300m RBL facility.

Unfortunately the 10biilion new shares may not be by public offer.

Let's compare brokers..
As a percentage of your transaction, how much fee are you paying?
I-invest charges about 2% per transaction (1.35 as broker commission, 0.6 as NSE &CSCS fees etc)....so for trading/JIJO, one will be effectively losing about 4% to fees.

In other words, you break even after a 4% gain on every trade.

Well, you may have a point and it seems so on the surface. But if you consider the fact that the 10billion shares has been mentioned as the specific or total number of shares to be created/allotted (unless over/under subscribed), then it means that the shares will be used to settle the $300m debt.
The Share capital will increase/rise by N500b and Loans will decrease by $300m (approximately N500b). They only need to sign Debt-Equity Conversion Agreement with the creditors and file at SEC/CAC/Court but there would be no payment or receipt of cash.

The real fresh injection of funds will come from the $1.5billion to be raised by bonds, and various instruments etc

I may be wrong though, just my own assumptions

From the picture attachment by Bagwa, converting $300m into shares is also on the table.

It is clearly stated that the price to be used will be determined through book building and other means.

It can be safely assumed only 10 billion new shares will be issued even if $300m of debt is converted into shares along with a fresh N500 billion being raised. This could imply a price of N100 possible if supported by the book building or other valuation method used. Think N50 is damn too low for use. It won’t be the smartest thing to do. Look at UBA they know the market is depressed or fearful in valuations and won’t do rights on just any low price shocked

I think N50 is damn low
