BabsO2:
From the picture attachment by Bagwa, converting $300m into shares is also on the table.

It is clearly stated that the price to be used will be determined through book building and other means.

It can be safely assumed only 10 billion new shares will be issued even if $300m of debt is converted into shares along with a fresh N500 billion being raised. This could imply a price of N100 possible if supported by the book building or other valuation method used. Think N50 is damn too low for use. It won’t be the smartest thing to do. Look at UBA they know the market is depressed or fearful in valuations and won’t do rights on just any low price shocked

I think N50 is damn low
Another clever, plausible perspective

imagine gaining just 300k on a stock and you want to sell and their charges is more than 300k.
It depends. The brokerage fee is based on the total sales value of what you want to sell, and not what you have gained. That is why you have to consider the gains, the value of the shares and fees payable before you decide on selling or holding.

For instance, if your shares/portfolio is worth N70m and your gain is only N1m, the fee will be based on the N70m that you want to sell (or a portion thereof), which may produce a figure higher than the gain of N1m.

That is why some people wait for the share price to go higher before they sell so that their profit will be higher than the fees, or you sell and incur the cost/loss like that.

Olaide1295:
Let's compare brokers..
As a percentage of your transaction, how much fee are you paying?
I-invest charges about 2% per transaction (1.35 as broker commission, 0.6 as NSE &CSCS fees etc)....so for trading/JIJO, one will be effectively losing about 4% to fees.

In other words, you break even after a 4% gain on every trade.
I think the stock exchange should make a rule that the percentage charged should be based on profit or loss and not on the capital invested

The N50 you estimated is also plausible in event of a poor not exciting H1. This low market price related valuation may end being used shocked

Only about 20-30% upside but potential dividend yield at current price should be more than 10%

Lol! Have you forgotten that there are various stakeholders in the market who rely on the fees for their operations e.g. brokers, NGX etc ? They ill not survive if fees are based on gains alone.
Some components of the fee are statutory and fixed, others vary and depend on the broker. Check for the acceptable variable fees and register with them.

Oando, Oando, Oando!!! How many times did I call you?
When would you stop disturbing my people on this forum? Inspite of over twenty sound fundamentals stocks on nsem!

Surprisingly, Oando is having a good 'buy' rating, because it is still cheap at the present price with p.e. of 2.something.
Inspite of it's negative p.b. ratio of -2 or thereabout.
I think there should be no worries about it's poor p.b. ratio because we all know Oando to be a very influential company that could easily surmount it's 'fundamentals' challenges in the nearest future.
The problem is that investors are keeping too much watch on the stock, instead of just buying and forgetting it. That's what I want to do if I have cash. This stock would touch #130 next year.
