Oh I see. The price doesn't seems bargain to me. That's why I'm confused 😀
Bargain in this case doesn't mean cheap in terms of the overall market.

If you want to see cheap, go to the insurance sector.

PETERiCHY is alerting bargain hunters that Dangsugar is now at the best price to buy according to it's own recent price movement or history.

Left the NGX stock market for some years and decided to come back a few weeks ago.. up 15% already from a few holding. Like 10 of them. Can we see how our portfolios are doing so as to motivate others.

And state good coils to hold for the long term.

Thank you. I wanted to buying ahead of their q2 result only to see price jumps 10%. I will wait and see if I can get some tomorrow when the markets open. If the q2 shows the company turn profitable from previous loss, we may see the price revisit the all time high again.

What are your thoughts on this?
cc: @emmanuelewumi

My thinking is that if FBNH is stoked up, we will see a general bull in other FUGAZ so far the fundamentals are good.
The table shows proxy indicators for identifying vulnerable banks based on key metrics and their implications. Here's a summary of the metrics and what they imply about the banks' risk exposure:

1. High FCY Loans (%):
- Implication: Greater forex risk exposure.
- Example: ZENITHBANK has a high percentage (30.6%), indicating significant forex risk.

2. Stage II Loans / Gross Loans (%):
- Implication: Higher risk of Non-Performing Loans (NPLs).
- Example: FIRSTHOLDCO has 27.7%, indicating a relatively higher risk.

3. Oil & Gas / Power Sector Exposure (%):
- Implication: Vulnerable to sectoral shocks.
- Example: FIDELITYBK's exposure is 24.5%.

4. NPL Coverage Ratio (%):
- Implication: Indicates provisioning adequacy.
- Example: STANBIC has a high coverage ratio (118.2%), implying strong provisioning.

Note: The color coding (green, yellow, red) visually indicates the risk level for each metric for each bank, with green generally indicating healthier metrics and red indicating higher vulnerability.

@Aj8
Kindly assist to check the common sense value of MEYER
With CAP at close to 70, I think Meyer is undervalued at below 20....
Financials checked and ok from my amateur's perspective.
Thanks sir.
@yMcy56 Meyer’s 2024 dividend was 30k.
Q1 2025 earnings per share..33k
X4 of this = 1.32
X4 x4 of this = 5.28

Current price =17.05
Current price / Common Sense price =17.05/5.28 = 3.229

CAP’s 2024 dividend… N2.40
Q1 2025 earnings per share N1.41
X4 of this = 5.64
X4 x4 of this = 22.56
Current price = 66.00

Current price / Common Sense price = 66/22.56 =2.926

For Meyer to be at par with CAP based on earnings
Current Price/ 5.64 = 2.926
Current price must fall to 5.64x2.926 =16.50

Already at these prices,
CAP dividend at N2.40 assumption =2.40/66 x 100 =3.6%

Meyer dividend at 30k assumption = 0.30/17.05 x 100 = 1.8 %

For Meyer to be par with CAP,
Dividend /17.05 x 100 =3.6
100 Dividend = 17.05 x3.6=61.38
Dividend =61.38/100 = 0.6138

Meyer will need to pay at least 60k dividend to have a yield approximately that of CAP at their current prices.

However CAPs Q1 2025 change vs Q1 2024 is about flat
While Meyer Q 1 , 2025 is huge compared to Meyer’s Q1 2024 change

Only based on if this trajectory can be sustained into following year can I see huge prospects in Meyer.

Therefore, for Meyer to make Common Sense, I would buy below N16.50 and pray and hold a couple of years.

The ratio of the current price of CAP to that of Meyer is 3.87

Let’s watch the price action on the 25th July during and around the BM to give some clues to insider information on their Q2 results. If green with increasing volume and price..i may consider buying and if red hold or better still run.

Of course anything is still possible. This is NGX, not everything needs make sense but I like to play safe.

Apologies for all the mathematics.

Meyer at 16 is fine.. at already in the 16 range tho, maybe it will be a good steal at that price. Mcy prediction of below 20 is a good one too. Below 15 will be cool. Nfa

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by fidtopade: 11:54pm On Jul 22, 2025
The recent share price reduction of FBN is simply due to their first quarter result. If you compare the result to the same period of last year, you will observe that there is 18% different on the negative side. However, First Bank still remain good buy for anyone who wants to keep for a year to three years. It has also been observed that first bank share price has not really changed since three years till now if you want to relate it to current exchange rate then and now. Definitely, as the persons behind the 25% acquisition is unveil there is going to be price surge in the shares. I am quite confidence of this as you can take it as buy advise.
yMcy56:
I'm sensing another time to move FBN is getting closer..
Once we starts seeing volumes now, interested persons should be taking position...

Why was Otedola's N320billion injection into FBN coinciding with the N324bn mega purchase of 25% FBN shares?
Something is fishy and yet to be disclosed....
* In fact, I'm of the opinion that the recent shedding of the share price is deliberate... Maybe to move it to acquisition point....
** In case Otedola wasn't the acquirer, then we should expect counter acquisition and mopping up of FBN shares in coming days....
*** If you have FBN shares, HOLD.
