It is very funny. Hmm.., i pray people don't learn the hard way sha.

I see that a part of the problem is when people look at the YTD, Weekly or Daily charts on apps like Yochaa or Bamboo, and they see these companies. They often rush in without necessarily understanding nuances like volumes and liquidity.

That is how someone was mentioning Austinlaz as one of the best performing stocks on NGX!!

The stock market is not a get rich quick platform. It is best for long term capital and wealth growth.
They create liquidity for illiquid and junk stocks by marketing and promoting them here, the uninitiated traders and investors looking for easy money will end up learning the hard way

I hope you don't regret this. Me I am doing the opposite. Selling others and buying NAHCO. It is the only stock that justify it's price on NGX IMHO.
There will always be new opportunities 🤗🤗

NAHCO that will soon be paying #30 dividend
The EPS is projected to be about N40 by 2030. With their dividend payout of 90% it is possible to payback dividend of N30 in 4 to 5 years time

I do not see any market rule they're breaking in the process of getting rich quick there.

And let me not see you and Agba there tommorow morning when I come to check out what is going on there.

I decided against it. After I had sold Nascon, CWG, Fidosn and MTN I had too much cash to know what to do with it

Very true. And I am happy some of the promoters of the junk stocks are bold enough to tag the junk stocks with their appropriate names "gamble" "speculation" e.t.c. The tag is enough caveat.

There is no law prohibiting letting out or selling inhabitable property. The rule is let the buyer beware.

BREAKING: GTBank, UBA, First Bank, 5 Others Meet CBN Recapitalisation (FULL LIST)

Rethink on these names: Fidosn and MTN, especially MTN.

I said the same thing about Nahco when you wanted to sell.

For NAHCO like I said mixed feelings. The day I was convinced to sell was when it touched 104 or so, at today’s closing price that is only a ten percent increase. I still believe the upside is as much as it once was.
MTN and Fidson are at my fair value also. Unless higher than expected Q2/H1 growth.

FIDSON should not be touched if you are looking for long-term Capital appreciation. You will agree with me if you understand the current Dynamics of the Pharma Industry in Nigeria.

MTN has become a different Business from Q2 last year. I will share my thoughts on this later

Do you think any of them can deliver 40-50% capital appreciation by year end or a dividend yield of close to ten percent. That is what I’m chasing in any stock that I buy now. My last loot was used to load Cadbury and Wapco which I believe can

People have different preferences. Whether illiquid stocks are desirable or not depends on the investment strategy/goals of those buying/selling.
The so called illiquid stocks may not be a problem for people who are only interested in preserving value and still earning consistent, reasonable dividends. A good example is Seplat.
