Newbies, all these big big stock names wey the Ogas here are mentioning, ask well before buying at current price because in my opinion, they may have to wait for q2 results to know the next direction, may not have high upside from their current prices for now...... Names like WAPCO already factored in the good Q2 when it moved from 80/85 to current price...... Could see some Ogas throwing numbers upandan......with some kind of manipulations ongoing there.... Remember there's a price tag on majority shareholders stakes.... It still get some other ones that already did 100%, 200%, 300%......make una look before you leap.... My advice: Look for the ones with potential 50% or more upside, those that are battered, not yet feel the bull run as such, trading at discount, around their 52 weeks low, strong fundamentals, those still lagging behind in their sectors and some with potential upside...... Like O&O, VFD, PZ, LEGEND, DS, ELLAH, JP, ACCESS, FBN, FCMB, LEARN, insurance, etc...... Na examples I give o 🙄 This is purely my opinion, make some marketers no come dey take you cash out anyhow...... 😁Stage opened for bashing, defence etc 🤔 |

This is why I kept. With the others despite being fairly priced, the dividend they will pay is really not much compared to the share price. MTN for example with its negative equity, I doubt will pay a dividend this year, even if they do, the EPS for the year will be around 30, can’t match up to 10% yield emmanuelewumi:

Lafarge is a N200 stock. Based on the exact same EV/EBITDA multiple (7x) that Huaxin used to value the business in 2023, the updated fair value per share using H1 2025 EBITDA is N194. Market cap N1.93trn Net Cash N206bn EV 1.73trn EBITDA annualized 416bn EV/EBITDA 4.15x NFA/DYOR.

Sunrisepebble:Reason why I said Nahco is one of the few stocks that combines growth, quality and value. Most stock have just 2 at a time. A quality cum growth stock might be expensive A quality stock that is cheap, might not have growth. A growth stock that is cheap, might not be a quality stock |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by yMcy56: 5:48pm On Jul 23, 2025 |
Sunrisepebble:Based on our calculations on the takeover price of WAPCO the last time, we estimated it to be around N103/105 if I could still recollect well.... Pls understand that I'm not saying WAPCO can't get to this price based on other metrics, but looking at the amount Holcim or so is willing to pay.....and considering the current exchange rate, I think we ought to exercise caution on the figures for now...... It's just my personal opinion.... We've had a scenario in NGX before, where people bought a stock way above the buyout price, thinking the buyer will increase the buyout price.....but which they did not. I thought WAPCO issue is still in court? |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by megawealth01: 5:57pm On Jul 23, 2025 |
yMcy56:MERCY, A notable scenario in the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NGX) is the Delisting and Buyout of Mobil Oil Nigeria Plc by NIPCO Plc (2016–2017). This case highlights investor speculation that the buyout price would be increased, which did not happen, leading to significant losses for speculative investors. NIPCO did not revise the buyout price. When the Mandatory Tender Offer (MTO) eventually came, the price remained around N417, which was the same as the original acquisition price. This led to a situation where speculative investors who bought the stock above N417 were forced to either hold onto the stock indefinitely or take a loss if they sold on the open market — as the market eventually corrected downward once it became clear that no higher price was coming. |

Even if they use juju, no minority shareholder will sell WAPCO to the Chinkos for anything less than N200 as at this moment. yMcy56: |

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Sunrisepebble: 6:03pm On Jul 23, 2025 |
I’m not talking about the takeover price. My opinion is the company will remain listed, I’m talking about the valuation of the company based on the H1 result If they do come with that MTO price of N100 I honestly don’t think it will go down well with anyone at all, even National Assembly who they’re having issues with at the moment yMcy56: |

megawealth01:Thanks MEGA. I knew of one or two people that sold Courtville at a loss or was bought out at loss.... What of Uniondac? See MRS now readjusting around the buyout offer of N135, many picked higher..... **N149 + some kobos was eventually paid - Updated** What of ARDOVA? Eventually it was slightly increased to 17+ while some bought above 20, even as high as 27/30 or so..... We are just trying to protect ourselves against those shrewd buyers here......and remind ourselves of past scenarios, so we don't fall victims of future ones. |
