Anybody sabi FCMB. Why the stock no move like other banks.
The last PO weight is too heavy. Too much dilution. Poor PE. However with recent bank share price rallies perhaps its PE is relatively not poor again. However the its last PO brought too much dilution.

This is one of the problems we have in this country. i dont think the writer knows anything.

When did First bank and UBA meet the Recap.

Cardoso never said so.
Read it on TheCable: https://www.thecable.ng/cbn-says-eight-banks-have-met-recapitalisation-requirements/

Junk journalism
Shey na recapitalisation Cardoso talk or na forbearance? UBA just launched right issue so can't be in the list
Thecable also engages on junk journalism? https://www.thecable.ng/cbn-says-eight-banks-have-met-recapitalisation-requirements/

Very difficult terrain

There are options in play, short interest, unending manipulation

It's hard to play. Long term investment may be the way to go

Do you think any of them can deliver 40-50% capital appreciation by year end or a dividend yield of close to ten percent. That is what I’m chasing in any stock that I buy now. My last loot was used to load Cadbury and Wapco which I believe can
MTN as a business will start flying from H1 2025. Most of their issues have been addressed. The competition are either being eliminated or partnering with them. New business lines are being opened. Look beyond year end.

I’m not talking about the takeover price. My opinion is the company will remain listed, I’m talking about the valuation of the company based on the H1 result
If they do come with that MTO price of N100 I honestly don’t think it will go down well with anyone at all, even National Assembly who they’re having issues with at the moment
The more reason it's risky. May end up not happening and price will find its level.

Newbies, all these big big stock names wey the Ogas here are mentioning, ask well before buying at current price because in my opinion, they may have to wait for q2 results to know the next direction, may not have high upside from their current prices for now......

Names like WAPCO already factored in the good Q2 when it moved from 80/85 to current price......
Could see some Ogas throwing numbers upandan......with some kind of manipulations ongoing there....
Remember there's a price tag on majority shareholders stakes....

It still get some other ones that already did 100%, 200%, 300%......make una look before you leap....

My advice: Look for the ones with potential 50% or more upside, those that are battered, not yet feel the bull run as such, trading at discount, around their 52 weeks low, strong fundamentals, those still lagging behind in their sectors and some with potential upside......
Like O&O, VFD, PZ, LEGEND, DS, ELLAH, JP, ACCESS, FBN, FCMB, LEARN, insurance, etc......
Na examples I give o 🙄

This is purely my opinion, make some marketers no come dey take you cash out anyhow...... lipsrsealed 😁

Stage opened for bashing, defence etc 🤔
If I may ask, what kind of strategy do you use, are you more of a trader, dividend investor or long term investor.

That will help people understand where they stand in the market.

I hope you don't mean to say the present price of wapco is because of the chinko deal.I will say the present appreciation is based on the company new performance. The chinko deal is not yet binding on minority shareholders because it has not passed any agm or egm and approved by minority shareholders for thr own stake. The was seen in PZ case.
If the shareholders had approved it before any appreciation on the floor this is whr risk comes. The deal for minority shareholders has not been placed before them
Another example is IE insurance. The shareholders have approved the deal long ago and can be short changed in the future.
All we have on ground is a proposal and never a bidding agreement. The shareholders still holds the hammer

I think you may have been on this nsempa but you have not learnt anything. Even the cable should not be the one to tell us here which bank has met recapitalization or not.

For the emphasis of your reference to the cable link you posted, did you even read the report? If you did, can you show me where on the report that the cable mentioned that First bank and UBA have met recapitalization. After all this was the Genesis of the argument where these banks were listed among those who have met target when we on this thread are fully informed about happenings.
It is painful I have to respond to this kind of ignorance but it is good to point it out to you that the cable like any other news house are not so special after all. Its humans like us that write those reports and we have equal chance of getting the corporate disclosures just as fhe media houses. If you know what I mean.

For avoidance of doubt, I put it to you that UBA and First bank have not met recapitalization. Yes 8 banks have met itbut these 2 have yet to.
I come in peace

You get time. This place is not for uninformed investor. The print media can write anything. Some of them writing rubbish don't even know what stock means. Is it the FBN that still need to raise 350 billion, the uba that just announced second phase of recapitalisation at RI of #50.
I don't bother myself opening such news to read self..All this media house that just sit in thr office to be doing copy and paste without knowing anything

Exactly what I meant by clickbait.
TheCable were more modest than the other one.
TheCable copied CBN sensational headline and filled the write-up with old watered down news.

The other one had the audacity to report fake headline.. angry angry

If the Naira appreciates significantly against the dollar, some of our dollar earning stocks will suffer. Eg. SEPLAT, PRESCO etc hmm its good to watch the dollar as we watch our stocks too.

It doesn't look like that appreciation is going to happen with this government.
