Gba :: is a yoruba term for scammed / conned

My opinion:: are we(Band A ) getting gbaed by Discos and Gencos if Enugu state can do this.. cos Tarrif no dey ever come down inside Nigeria always going up... and recently they announced a possible terrific hike yet enugu slashed it's own by 23%

That sector is the new NNPC

The attraction of his method for me was the inherent simplicity. It is getting a bit complex now 😊
Though I understand it is difficult to find bargain again unlike what we had last year.
There is nothing complex. It's just maths. Only when there is a turnaround do I recognize and accommodate the improvement. The important thing is that it's incredibly accurate. It's my simple way to identify value and book a front row seat on a stock. So far, I am not sure whether it's ever failed. I will audit it someday. Go through previous posts to understand it properly. All I can say is that it has made me money over the years. I just felt it was okay to share with others. But please do not just take my word for it. Do your due diligence always. Bargains are still there and I would gladly post them as they emerge. Aj8 Common Sense is not the only strategy but it's mine and I am proud of it by the grace of God. However please note that I still pay attention to calls my some very remarkable folks on this platform and I have often used their insight to buttress my convictions on some stocks. Ymcy, Pa Emma, Sunrisep, Megaintentional, karlTom, Street.., pluto9, Agba, current price, and many others too numerous to mention. I am immensely grateful to you all. Enjoy what you have while you can. We are as breath, once it's gone, it's gone. Happy trading.

Honestly, I think you need to devote more energy to make Investment one better than the advertisement you are doing here for them. For every 5 client you are giving to them, 4 will eventually leave before a year. Some of their services needs a lot of improvement. For example, atimes, it takes forever for someone's trade to be listed on the offer/bid table. Secondly, I filled form to opt out of the Direct Cash Settlement (DCS) system, but to my surprise, my account was still credited after selling, and that is a month after I filled the form. This made me to miss out on so many trades that I should have executed. Loco was right with most of his assertions on Investment One.

The only advantage I see on Investment one platform is the instant withdrawal of fund, which takes less than an hour to hit your account.

Well done! There's definitely a lot to do in terms of service improvements.

Logging in to your platform is a daily gamble. You just don't know if it will be successful or not. You go clear cache tire, change browser etc before you can get in. Haba! Na only you waka come? Never happened with iTrade before.

Ideally, one should not have to contact you or any other special individual to get anything done. That is already an escalation for failed, delayed service or unreliability of service delivery. If an email is sent to Customer service email as displayed on your website, it should be actioned. It is as simple as that. That is how to tell if an organisation is well structured and functioning well.

Hopefully, things improve for your customers after the upgrades are completed. It's not all gloom and doom though. Good luck.

Do they have the option of servicing the loan (paying just the monthly interest), to pay back capital at maturity?

Since the loan is backed with mutual funds grin
It is bullet payment of interest and principal at maturity. Duration is 6 months and you have the options of a rollover

Makes plenty of sense, thank you.

mikeapollo:
Regular payment of dividend is very important in assessing stocks. Yes, it is true.
But it is NOT the ONLY basis for assessing stocks. Other factors may cause stocks price to rise based on assessment of potential future prospects as determined by the market.
Honey Well wasn't paying dividends in the last 3 years or so because they were having some challenges and undergoing restructuring. Their majority shareholder (Oba Otudeko) was having several issues in the industry. They also had a protracted court case with one of their creditor banks (I think it was Ecobank). During this period, the share price was undervalued as low as N3 for a very long time.
But after it was acquired recently by FMN, investors saw huge potential for growth and profitability, partly explaining the huge jump from N3 to N27 in about three years.
From N3 to N27 is 800% gain. For those who think about dividends ALONE, Honey Well would not have produced this kind of returns even it were paying dividends consistently in the last 3 years.

Bottom line: choose the strategy that fits your investment goals and identify the right stocks that can give you the required returns: regular dividends or capital gain in the shortest possible time.

"MC OlUOMO AND SERVICE TO HUMANITY" 🤔😏

Someone said that if you're not making money in this day and age, it's not because you're not smart enough but because you're not bold or confident enough.

Stupid but bold people would make money before smart but timid people do.

The word is CONFIDENCE.

Be confident about who you are and what you know.

If MC Oluomo could write and publish a book, I wonder what my excuse is. Literally none.

Most people who make millions on social media and earn in dollars weren't the smartest in school. In fact they were arguably some of the dumbest in class.

But fortune doesn't favour the smart. It favours the bold.

If you're confident, you would make money, even if your product or content is whack. We see this everyday.

Most of your content creators and skit-makers do stupid and shameful things on social media, but they are also smiling to the bank, owning homes and living in luxury. All because they didn't care what you think. They launched out boldly.

At this point, the difference between the rich and poor is STUPID COURAGE.

This is personally a challenge to me.

I think I need to put myself out there more and care less what might happen.

The problem with intelligent people is that we OVERTHINK things before we do them. That's a big problem.

Sometimes you just have to start and not be bothered about what might be or happen. Let things fall wherever they may.

Make I analyze Oando small...

Oando is not operating at a negative EPS as of Q1 2025. The company reported an EPS of ₦9, up from ₦5 in Q1 2024 .

But here’s the nuance you should know:

1. Operating and Pre-tax Losses

Despite the positive EPS and bottom-line profit after tax (₦113 billion), the company recorded an operating loss of ₦120.3 billion and a pre-tax loss of ₦52.6 billion in Q1 2025 .

This means reported profit was largely due to exceptional items, not core business profitability.

2. Profit Masked by One-Off Gains

Two major non-recurring items drove the net profit:

A ₦165.6 billion tax credit

A ₦182.3 billion reversal of impairment losses

These pushed post-tax profit into positive territory despite operating losses .

3. Parent Company Still Loss-Making

At the company level, Oando Plc recorded a ₦28.9 billion loss in Q1 2025, though this improved from a ₦210.9 billion loss in Q1 2024
Oando expected resistance price

There is an improvement anyway.
The idea is that the market will react to the % improvement which I believe he just translated to an equivalent "apparent EPS"; Not necessarily the face value of Eps.

The formula isnt complex. Its still simplified.
Afterall, the stock price wasn't Zero or -ve when the face value of EPS was -ve; was it? undecided
