Brotherly, we don dey this market when Okomu , Presco and Nestle were trading at relatively small prices , the rest is history now.

When DS backward integration kicks up fully, DS will surge to the moon. The amount they sell to Coca Cola alone is enough reason to hold the shares for another 5 years.

Nothing do your observation. That is generally the market trend, when leaders in a sector move some participants in the sector tag along. So, it nothing new.

I think it’ll be at N700 or so by end of next year. Not sure if I’m regretting selling because I put all the loot into WAPCO at #110
Sunrisepebble (the man of very few words) , i won't sell again. You know i don't joke with your words. Sorry that you sold yours. If it were some people on this platform ( i won't mention names) they will encourage me to exit. It really makes no sense in changing a winning team or killing the goose that lays the golden egg. Patiently waiting for the half year report of MTN. They might even come with an interim dividend as they used to do before the FX wahala.

Same investors who bought 50m units at 1.50 dragged it down to close at 1.40.I believe there will be another bulk deal for them tomorrow at same 1.50 which when done, the daily new high will continue

Follow them and accumulate at 1.50 before Royalex kiss you bye and move above N2 in the coming days/week.

I guess you wanted to qoute 430 billion. check the notes in 11.1 (extract below) the bulk of the loan relates to Transpower (a subsidiary) which should benefit from the impending settlement of over 4 trillion power debt waiting to be securitised (via bond) by the FG

"A significant portion of the trade receivable relates to receivable from the NigerianBulkElectricityTradingPlcwhich is the regulatory body for the power business in Nigeria."
I'm not surprised.
Exactly what I highlighted weeks ago before this result.

chimex38:
If one follows what's happening in the Power sector, one would understand a bit.

GenCos are being owed debts of up to 4trn by FG from 2015. Part of these debts are also GenCos own payables to the gas suppliers..

This implies that their account receivables will remain bloated for the time being.
The little profit they make is even quite remarkable but they have to maintain equipments, import equipment for upgrade and pay off some inevitable gas supply debt if they want to still function as an entity and offset some debts and liabilities. So any little profit in any Quarter is ploughed back into the business..

The latest good news in the sector is the proposed issuance of Debt-bond by the Govt via the DMO specifically to settle govt accrued debt to GenCos. Learnt Tinubu was present with the GenCos.

If this is done, I believe cash flow will increase and presumably dividend and capital appreciation as well..

Though their recent profitability are being threatened by this large-scale slash of electricity tariff state-wide started by Enugu Electricity Regulatory Commission (EERC) in Enugu on Band A from 206kwh to 160kwh(22%). Other states including Lagos that consumes about 30%-40% of Nigerians entire wheeled capacity are also planning same.
this is angering and affecting the GenCos including Transpower(and probably transcorp by extension).

Discos remit part payment to TCN then to the GenCos Via NBET(i think escrow of some sort).
So their already meagre percentage % debt repayment whose bulk comes from Band A tariff is being threatened if tariffs are slashed.

Institutional investors know this is no fault of theirs as the sector Is still largely centralised. I believe that's why the SP is just there. No relative upward or downward surge.

Not too bad. I think they have very large receivables — they sold a lot on credit. If they can collect before year-end, they’ll be fine. Over ₦130 billion in receivables. cheesy
Their receivables are with FG.
dem no get muzzle to initiate the collection.. grin

50m bulk crossdeal at 2.06pm
At 2.19pm same investor dragged it down to 1.40 meaning he wants more at 1.40 to 1.50.

You can place your order in these prices he is buying. After he is done, expect a sharp rally which will push the price above N2.

Thanks Agba.
Pa Emma gave me a similar response about 2 years ago.

AFRIPRUD has become my experimental animal. Just observing the company closely, because it's story gives a real-time understanding of the concepts taught in books. From being the toast of dividends and bonus lovers to innovation/growth responding to leadership changes. Good study subject.

If not for over regulation by CBN, banks would have been dropping their H1 reports. I can't wait to see the ones that will pay interim dividend and those ones caught up with the forbearance brouhaha. I am also interested to see the ones that can increase their interim dividend and i just wonder if UBA can at least maintain the N2.00k the paid last year now that their share price is even lower than the RI price. A lot of questions and no answers. wink

Hmmm!!
Cash is king.

I remember when you called Cadbury @sub 40,it's gone on to do 80%.
I could only get 100 units then. It feels somehow for not getting much more due to unavailability of capital.

Already got about 3000 units of PZ sub 34, I hope to get more.

Looking at the current price of both, 1 Cadbury = 2PZ.

Thanks for your stock recommendations sir.
God bless.
AMEN. YOU are already doing well. The truth about this game is understand the time, get knowledge and have some PATIENCE in your quest to create a solid WEALTHY FOUNDATION.

PZ and CADBURY will give you good wealth especially CADBURY. CADBURY has no choice but to DELIVER or face the wrath of its shareholders
