UACN bought assets and has been on full bid. Access has been buying things but...
The same way the Spanish male football team used to play so well in the 90s and 2000s but did not win the World Cup or Euros.
Let's hope their time will come.

Its interesting how UK price is now the target for GTCO when it should be the other way round. GTCO has more investment in naija hence ngx price should be the dominant...the market is growing sha...hopefully ngx go become a big force to recon
Na Forex n devaluation cause am.

You will be surprised that reverse is the case. it's probably cuz of the price in NGx that it rallied that high in LSE and then the NGX starts playing the reverse.

It's probably like a penny stock over there grin angry

NGX in July completed a 20 day positive run. I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this before.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Tvegas(m):
I have shared from my Little experience from NGX pre and post Covid on the performance of Accessbank . Access is presently not the best stock for speculative investment, it seems the management does not care about share valuation or return to shareholders.

All i have seen over these years is acquisitions that raises investors hope. Compare that to GTBank that gives superior return on capital employed (ROCE) year on year with fewer bank Branches and acquisitions with only 239 branches. Access bank presently have 700 branches .You may be big and not efficient.

Yeah it’s most likely repricing taking place. The market was at $62 Billion using an official exchange rate of 462 naira/$ when the previous Government left. We are back at almost $58 Billion currently at 1535 naira/$.

We are to also expect a more bullish market when the CBN begin to cut rates due to lower inflation seeing that food prices normally reduce to an extent from this time of the year.

Should I run?

almost 20% of my portfolio sits with FBN..hovering around breakeven price.

I am happy to take my small losses and run if the issue is expected to get worse.
Why run?

Wema Bank on the path to becoming a Systemically Important Bank (SIB)
New Common Sense Target for 2025 revised from N14 to N20 (nudged N14 today). Dividend target N2.00. Needs to pay interim to further support the “ too big to fail” pursuit.
Wema needs to pay interim however small to further boost/cement this pursuit of becoming a SIB. Too early to compare with other banks till other results are turned in. Good H1 but shows it is sustaining its Q1 momentum. However still as forecast. If they pay interim 50k, the price should rally to N30. All driven by the tremendous positive banking disruption via ALAT.

Just my opinion, not an advice to buy.

It is not all growth that creates value and wealth to shareholders.

As a matter of fact such companies might make accounting profits but not making economic profits

I just wanted to at least have some just in case it doesn't go lower. If it does, even better. But at least I get to qualify for their interim dividend

The management of First Bank doesn't care about investors' prosperity.

The management's major aim is the cooking of accounts in order to embe.zzle funds.

60 Kobo as the dividend for 2024 financial year is a misnomer for FirstHoldCo. angry
