i got an empty nsf mail and got my visa approved after 11 days stay calm your visa will be approved

Please this question is directed to those in the UK 🙏.
I was about sending accommodation fees to a landlord in the UK, but my bank requires his IBAN number which the landlord said he doesn't have or rather, they don't use it in the UK. Now, I'm skeptical of sending him the money through a naira account he wants to give me for the payment.
I told him that I'm ready to pay for 2-3 months rent upfront when I arrive. He didn't agree at first but just today, he said no problem on my request.
I have never met him before and I wanted to ask those already living in the UK if they believe or think this is real or am I falling into the wrong hands?
Please someone knowledgeable with such should kindly assist me to understand this situation and if I have nothing to worry about.

I’ve submitted applications to a few universities including Robert Gordon University (RGU), University of Strathclyde, University of East London (UEL), and University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).

I did my biometric in ph, i have received my decision since on Friday that my visa was a success and that ph VAC office will contact me for my passport collection, uptill now i have not heard from them, and the last day for resumption in my school is on Friday. I don't know what to do.

Don't pay anyone until you physically view the accommodation.

I want to make enquiry regarding UK ihs payment. I asked my friend in the US to help make my ihs payment of about 5k (going for PhD) but it kept declining.
"PAYMENT DECLINED
Your payment has been declined."

I'll like to know what could be the possible cause and what we can do to rectify it.

Also, I want to ask if it possible I convert the money back to naira and pay using the Nigeria bank account?

This does not sound good, you are likely to get scammed. Never a good idea to do what you are about to do. Wait until you get to the UK and view the accommodation before making payment.

VFS email should contain when your passport is ready for collection or if you used a courier service, it takes atleast 4-5 days to get to you.

I had full funding offer (confirmed in my CAS) so I did not have to upload POF. I just optionally uploaded my offer letter.

I have been there. I suggest using a UK card (Revolut worked fine for me) if you have one or get someone in the UK to help you pay.

Please; I need to know the cheapest school in the UK with a low fee of 10-11k for the MSc program for 2026, especially for the January intake. Thank you all.

Ask the international office of your school. I think they are in the best position to advise you.

First of all, if your studies will start by September, you are already late but if October, you still have some time left

Secondly, why are you still waiting for over two months without offer letter ? For me two weeks is too much because UK Universities reply as soon as possible. You would have mailed them stating how long you have waited without decision. (Also check ur spam folder regularly)

Finally, there are over 150 universities in UK , why limit urself to few who have not replied yet after two months, apply to many school as possible (considering your budget) since application is free. You can as well ask here on nairaland people who are or has studied that course you are applying for, trust me they can mention as many universities whom will accept you regardless of ur grade. ( Nairaland is a very big university with many professors , lectures and learners as well) Just trust me.
