"Financial wisdom is knowing that, it's not everything that you can afford that you
should buy."
This principle is very key but it can only be practised by someone who is very focused and not desperate to impress others or bow to peer pressure!
It has really helped me in life!

If Oando should do another 9-10% tomorrow, then something fishy may be coming up because of the AGM. on Monday.

Don't be angry with yourself. You should be happy. Normally, you will always discover what you are interested in. Just know that it's when you decide to look at another way apart from crypto that is why you get in here. It's a case of no interest, no findings!

I advise you to keep learning, though stocks and crypto differ, but they share some similarities, particularly in terms of price movement. It can either be up or down, and capital and returns are not guaranteed.

The time you came to the market is bullish, but know for sure that the bear will also surface at some point in time. That is the circle of the stock market.

Have a defined objective and your plan should be, find how to navigate and win during the bull and the bears, don't also forget
1. No man can time the market guru or newbie - the market has a mind of its own
2. Try as much as possible to control these two emotions: FEAR and GREED.

Fear will make you lose the money you would have made by not allowing you to take the calculated risk, while Greed will make you lose the money you already made by making you stay longer than necessary.

Welcome onboard.

I wish you a bullish and green portfolio.
If not all, most things prove to be cyclical. Some of the greatest opportunities from gain and loss comes when people forget this.

This will be dangerous to Nigeria capital market if introduced because our market here is fragile.Stocks on full bid can turn to full offer within 24 hours and vice versa.

The disadvantages will be more than the advantages.

Maybe I need education on this

The insurance stocks continue the upward trajectory as fresh capitalizations looms.

Almost all the insurance companies are set for this move. Those to merge already know themselves. Those to acquire and those to be acquired also know themselves.

Expect more of off market activities this time than the ones on the floor.Off market deals this time are done at huge premium prices and this is why the prices are not disclosed.

The bids(demands) for insurance stocks will keep increasing until Naicom decides to make an official announcement which will favour some to further move the prices and some will not be favored and prices will nosedive in due time.

Trade with ones with significant improvements in their financials and those that have large portfolios. Those with large portfolios will stand without being acquired or merged.

Loco is in a Royalty family.
Our increasing bids on the daily and thin trades shows we are going to be a stand alone in the process of capitalization
Today we will have up to 150m bids chasing us

I sold some stocks on investment one app for about 3 days now, the order has been completed but the money is yet to reflect in my balance.

I sold because I want to enter a different stock but investment one is taking time to release the money to my balance.

Please investment one users here, is this how long it takes for sold stock to reflect in balance?
I'm just wondering how a 3rd party app like trove can be faster in sending money to balance for for stock repurchase than an actual broker.

I’m guessing you opted for direct cash payment when you registered with you broker. This means , when you sell any of your stock, the payment is made into you bank account 3 days after you sold. Thank you

Your money is with cscs not investment one.
Your account is on Direct cash settlement.
This was same experience I had when I opened an account with them 3 or 4 years ago.
I was given a form to opt out of DCS.

Cscs will pay you on the Settlement day(T+3)

If you filled the form to opt out, subsequent trades will reflect on your account.

You don't have anything to fear

Every new account is opened on DCS till you opt out.

Brokers need your signature to opt you out.
They can't do it without you nah.Its an option to determine by the investor not broker

Meristem is actually deliberate in preventing their clients from queuing early with orders. These “technical glitches” are no longer coincidental, honestly.

It is pertinent to note that non on of the Re insurance companies is listed on the exchange. Continental re-insurance was delisted years back. Nigeria Re-insurance was fraudulently sold to and purchased by Ibrahim Jimoh. A lot of legal battles around the case. I think the government recovered it from him. And then, there is FSB re-insurance wholly in private hands.
We wait to see if they will come to the market, and perhaps some other players might level up to the re-insurance stage.

What these brokers do these days. Your money will reflect after they have traded and profited from it. Your own is small. I have had occasions where shares purchased through Morgan disappeared totally. The customer care guy acknowledged the purchase but the shares were missing from my CSCS account. And he could not just explain why

How possible is this scenario. Can transaction which can only happen from cscs disappear from cscs statement. This sounds scary for us that don't check cscs statement after long time.We deal with brokers statement for many months unless for bonus when alloted

The transaction was on itrade platform. But the number of shares on CSCS did not tally. So either they debited me without buying or something I don't know happened.
I got to know when the reconstruction happened and my total number of shares did not tally
