Finally.... We are seeing the long proposed idea.. of Atiku...

If Atiku had worn the last election he would have privatized alot of sector ..

And today we are seeing that it is a bad idea....

They should start with Geregu and Transpower..

Cos Tony wants us to believe that .. it was with UBA he was able to Accquire Transcorp Hotel, Transpower and Oil Blocks... Nigeria most successful Africapitalist

Yer Jim Ovia of Zenith Bank doesn't have these

Late Wigwe doesn't also have these ....

Sca mmer Oshi

Let the private sector compete with government infrastructure....

That is why today I hold the long held belief that the Nigeria Electricty Sector is the new Fraud Sector of Nigeria.... the NEW NNPC of Nigeria.
The new always maintaining the refinery yet it doesn't work...

The same sector that receives 200Bn in subsidy monthly.... if rain fall light will go

The same sector that want to increase tarrif. . Yet Enugu state slashed their tarrif by 23-29%

Just watch... Tony go run go Abuja.... and Shout Last man standing to Tinubu ....

bunch of clowns

My stock pick for next week strictly based on technical analysis:

Caverton : bargain price lies between N4.5 and N5.20
Veritas- strong bullish close above the stubborn N1.80 level. Any price below N2.00 is bae... wink
Universal Insurance: huge volume breakout above the N1 level. Any price below N1.20 is good.
Omatek: bulls defended the N1.15 breakout level upon retest. Further upside expected. Sharpen your cutlass... grin
UPDC: seems out of range now for bargain hunters but still got some gas to run.
Transcorp: nice build up. Smart money loading.
NSLTECH: is getting the deserved attention and gathering momentum again.
Ellah Lakes: oh, so sweet. To suffocate the nay sayers... grin
C&I leasing: enter upon retest below N8.
GTCO: a close below N96 rejected. Imminent breakout above N103 expected.

Let me stop here.

Wishing you all a green and red portfolio next week... cool

As controversial stocks go, Oando and Ellah share the crown. We need to discover another one. When the next one breaks out, not even Olumo Rock will be able to stop the run. Patience and Conviction will always carry the day. Please stick to whatever works for you as an investor or trader.

To every gbas, there are always corresponding gboses.

NIIRA 2025 is a modern legislation that replaces the outdated Insurance Act 2003 (after 22 years) and consolidates five other laws into a single unified legal and regulatory framework for the insurance sector.
- It transitions from a rule-based, prescriptive regulatory system to a principles-based approach, increasing flexibility and modernity in the industry.
- The Act aims to boost investor confidence, enhance insurance penetration, promote economic growth, and better protect policyholders' interests.
- It mandates faster claim settlements to address consumer complaints and build greater trust in insurance providers.
- Introduces minimum share capital requirements backed by risk-based capital to strengthen operators' solvency, allowing them to handle larger risks and retain more business within Nigeria.
- Enforces compulsory insurances and incorporates digital solutions to improve access, inclusion, and efficiency in the insurance market.
- Promotes financial inclusion through products like micro-insurance, takaful (Islamic insurance), and agricultural insurance, extending coverage to underserved rural and low-income populations.
- Establishes a policyholders' protection fund, financed by a portion of premiums, to safeguard consumers in the event of insurer failure—similar to deposit insurance in banking.
- Supports Nigeria's goal of a $1 trillion economy by providing financial stability, derisking business activities, and encouraging risk-taking with insurance backing.
- Enhances governance and regulatory oversight, giving NAICOM greater authority to enforce compliance, which could lead to industry consolidation and improved operations.
- Modernizes the sector to accommodate fintech and insurtech innovations, fostering business expansion and attracting new investments.
- Expands compulsory insurance requirements to cover government assets (e.g., vehicles and infrastructure), broadening the overall scope of insured activities.

This is the only marine company that is listed on NSE that is into boat building and the plan to scale it up is already there. If you are in Lagos and you see omnibus or omibus ferries, know that you are seeing locally produced boats by Caverton. The omnibus is PPP between Lagos state government and Caverton. When the dust settles, you won't see that stock to buy @ #100grin grin grin

NYSC investors in the house.

New 200,000 naira loan scheme from Government

"the programme is part of President Bola Tinubu’s consumer credit drive announced during his Democracy Day address on June 12.

“The heart of YouthCred is actually not just credit, but credit orientation that is teaching young Nigerians, especially as they are coming into the workforce, teaching them good credit habits, teaching them how to build a credit history, teaching them how to plan financially and borrow responsibly, and then ultimately also giving them credits that enables them to access goods and services,” he said.

Eligible corps members will be required to complete a brief digital credit education course before they can access the loans.

Those who repay promptly can gradually qualify for higher amounts, up to the N200,000 cap.

The loans are expected to support a variety of needs including relocation, acquisition of work tools and devices, skills training or small-scale business funding.

This needs to stop.

Ellah is not some mysterious biotech firm with unpredictable product development pipeline and wide risk-reward profile. Its near-term catalyst is a mill, with a known capacity when completed, that will be selling product with a known price.

We're Nigerians, but we can do math too.
It is no longer far.i will be waiting for thr line of defence when the time comes
You know the kpakus is lunching something into space that can not have number probability to it.They tell u it is in the same sector with presco and okumu so it does no matter. None have even checked what 3 tonnes mill can ever generate at max to the financials.I wonder if 3 tonnes Mills is expected to be miracle worker in the industry while others have 90,000 and 60,000 capacity presently on ground
I still wonder why oando is not yet in the same close price league with saplet after all this yrs.
They say fundamentals does not matter because kpakus is involved. Why are many banks not close to gtbank since fundamentals don't matter. It is not about SP.
I once had forte Oil which went above #300 and dropped below #20 because nothing to hold it up thr.At the end we whr bought out by new investors at even below #20 if I am not wrong.
The clock is ticking.

On another note
Look at the dilapidated building hosting the head quarter of a company talking about 250 billion. The joke can not be on someone like me who is street. If any bank branch looks like that u go agree give them ur money to keep.
Which insurance company head office looks like that sh...t presently and the highest amount they are looking for is 25 billion

Read about cabotage law in Nigeria for you to understand why they have to step in. This is the only government owned company that has the financial muscle to execute the law. NPA, NIMASA, NIWA or even Shippers Council doesn't have the money to execute cabotage law effectively. There is future here, but if you can see it. grin grin grin
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by thebargainhunte: 9:58pm On Aug 09, 2025
The biggest FPSO is located in Nigeria and Total energies owns it. It was constructed by Samsung Heavy Industries and the hull was fabricated here in Nigeria by Ladol shipyard. This is what Nigeria government is trying to achieve with NNPC,Stena and Caverton partnership so that boats,Ships, FPSO and other marine structures could be constructed in Nigeria instead. grin grin grin

Thank you for this information

1: that is why we don't have any working refinery in nigeria
2:that is why NNPC doesn't have one refinery attached to their name
3: that is why subsidy nearly finished this country
4: that is why they refused to supply Dangote crude ... despite investing 2billion and owning 20% of the refinery
5: that is why there is an alleged 210 trillion unaccounted for...

I could go on oh..... so again who in their right senses think NNPC of Nigeria is a good business partner.....

But NNPC is the biggest partner to Seplat, Chevron and almost every oil upstream company in Nigeria you can think of. Even when it comes to shipping, they are into that business and anything you can think of upstream. This is a plus for Caverton.
