Some people dey always dey funny for this forum; like market na market, not a class room. Some people come to buy and sell to get what to eat while some come to buy to keep for the hey days.
There is no class Captain here or Chief investment Strategist.
Some would just come online and start castigating peoples choices as though they can see people's portfolio.
This is Market and there is a reason it's called a market!
This is market! stop forming Chief Investment Strategist.
Even the sound stocks defy all the ratios. This is a market not Class room!
After all sef everything na Game!

People have started asking which other stocks to buy now apart from insurance stocks.
Belly do full well well.

Chanel your loot to Japaul or hold your peace.

There will be lots of Jijo in insurance stocks before capitalization.
Buying support will always be the best.

Japaul is presenting a good opportunity to you guys leaving insurance.Come let's drive it to N10 and rest.
Looking like Japaul themselves are not doing anything to move the price. Maybe they are going to do something just before they commence their Capital raise

The entire insurance sector is massively re-rating. The companies can't all be stars. Some will win and some will weep.

And yes, I do need enlightenment. What else is the point of an investment forum like this? To yarn about breast? huh

faoogoke:
What gives you the impression that people are just plunging into the sector blindly and buying gems and duds indiscriminately?

You are the one who needs enlightenment hence your asking for details.

The bus has left the station since. Loco the agbero has dropped without reaching destination grin grin grin

My stock pick for next week strictly based on technical analysis:

Caverton : bargain price lies between N4.5 and N5.20
Veritas- strong bullish close above the stubborn N1.80 level. Any price below N2.00 is bae... wink
Universal Insurance: huge volume breakout above the N1 level. Any price below N1.20 is good.
Omatek: bulls defended the N1.15 breakout level upon retest. Further upside expected. Sharpen your cutlass... grin
UPDC: seems out of range now for bargain hunters but still got some gas to run.
Transcorp: nice build up. Smart money loading.
NSLTECH: is getting the deserved attention and gathering momentum again.
Ellah Lakes: oh, so sweet. To suffocate the nay sayers... grin
C&I leasing: enter upon retest below N8.
GTCO: a close below N96 rejected. Imminent breakout above N103 expected.

Let me stop here.

Wishing you all a green and red portfolio next week... cool
Hope you guys are printing money based on my stock recommendation...follow who know road... cool

A deliberate effort to keep the price below #3 probably till they are ready, but this forceful suppression of the price has been going on since forever.

Based on what?
I think the current sentiment now aside the mill, is the capital raise among other unknowns.
Debt alone may not cut it. They will come to the market.
That huge capital will also require high selling price.

I have heard you.

It takes 48 hours or less to have your loan approved if you have N2 billion worth of GTCO shares. I have even gotten my loans approved in less than 12 hours

So since 1998 pa Emma has been in this system compounding with dividends and bonuses,he is not worth N1B?

In the next few days, they will force the price down below 3 to buy back the volumes they released to the market today and they keep the cycle going. It is a massive jijo set up.

You can tell all the lies and manipulate SP via brokers. Thr is limit to lie u can tell on the audited financials. The government is involved and u have to pay them thr tax.
It is all this month e no go pass.
Can kpakus make just 300 million revenue is my interest in the result.
What happened to companies that came with bad results this yr.Let me see how kpakus will be different.
The clock is ticking
We saw the going concern by auditors of oando. I will like to see that part too in thr financial results when it comes out

The noise of insurance is draining other good picks. Spot them oo..

UPDC is the classic "village and the monkey" story cheesy, but be not afraid.

Mpeace:
It all depends. In 2017 I bought a piece of land in a place called Ohi in Imo state. I bought at the rate of 1.5million per plot. Today a plot at the same location is sold for N14million.
GTco is an exceptional case. If we go into exceptional cases, the examples we have for landed properties will sound unbelievable. There is a place they call southafrica in Ihiagwa in Imo state. They just discovered oil there and the land owners are being compensated. You will not want to hear what is on offer.
Forget rental income, it's not the real deal. Growing up in Jos, plateau state, I remember a friend who's father bought a property at Ahmadu Bello way back then for 15million. I don't think the man will sell that property today for anything less than N500million.
The problem is @500million, will he see a buyer ?
How many buyers available depends on purchasing power of the town in general?
Cost implication of selling(COGS)?
Security Exposure to deceitful marketers and miscreants who may want to prey on your largesse in eventuality of the sale?

What will be the duration of payment?; cuz usually it won't be a one-off payment(lump sum + installments).
How about default on installments. More contract and MOU and expenses.

The similar scenario is those in seplat or Aradel who bought a very large chunk @ maybe 100-200.
The Aradel guy never sell finish grin
Same with chams seller that year grin

Which of the two sheges will one prefer to be into?

Meaning that if 2B is answered in 48hours

Therefore, Oga Emma is worth over 8B in stock's for him to get a within 12 hours

The property price in the location he mentioned has crashed seriously because of recouring insecurity in that state. I have friends who have been stuck not seeing who to buy thr properties and hotel since they relocated to SE because of security wahala. Many hotels in rayfield are running empty the last time I went thr.
