Agbalowomeri:Lol. I don't think we understand the possible impact of the new insurance Act. Insurance companies are in money. One provision I saw that convinced me on their prospects is the provision for compulsory insurance of buildings. Every landlord must insure his building yearly. Penalty is N1million or 12months imprisonment. NAICOM is empowered to inspect and seal buildings not insured. (Rent go soon increase) There are many other provisions and mandatory insurance of items that you cannot imagine. But this property insurance is the real deal. Every property in Nigeria. Na wa Agba na because of you I enter Aiico and it has given good short term returns. If not for this your comment Na you I dey consider to give my 10% commission but I don't change my mind. |

Ginalex:Are u saying the stock is reflecting on her cscs statement too If it is only on her in house account. She can't sell anything. So how did such arrive at her cscs statement. When she did not purchase it or transferred from somewhere else to her account. Thr must be a link somewhere.. Did Morgan over fund her account and was used mistakenly to purchase the stock. This has happened to me before. I was reached and I asked them to give me some days to pay back because I was ok with the stock and it had appreciated a little then.So I paid them back 5 million |

The provision is for public buildings and not residential houses. By public buildings; Government offices, shopping malls/Plazas, eateries, filling/Gas station etc Na enforcement be the real thing. Mpeace: |

faoogoke:When you read the law properly, you will realize the Act defined public buildings to include rental residential buildings which the act defined as PUBLIC ACCESS BUILDINGS. It further includes buildings still under construction as long as the said building is over two floors. That Act wicked. Forget about enforcement. There are many enforcers You will see how state capital development agencies will rush this one. FCDA etc will rush and make money from this one. |

orriyomi33:Your query is not clear but if you are unsure of how the form is to be completed, you can visit any of the 70 stockbrokers listed on the application form. They will guide you and give you a fund transfer form with their account details pre-filled so you only need to follow the instructions for completing the form and pay at the bank. Alternatively, you can submit an electronic application. You'll still need the guidance of the stockbrokers listed on the form to complete the application especially payment/fund transfer to their account. By the way, most of the stockbrokers mentioned on NSEMPA are on that list including Morgan Capital, Investment One, Atlas, Afrinvest ati bebelo so it's not as complicated as you think. Not a recommendation to buy or sell.

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sophy17(m): 1:59pm On Aug 18, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:You are absolutely correct! The Old 2024 Insurance Act mandates compulsory Insurance of buildings under construction, Site workers- for life and or bodily Injury but it was never or could not be enforced for many obvious reasons. Only a very low fraction of builders were forced to by Banks because they provided loans for such projects and lack of adequate collateral |
