Welcome back from your own journalistic monkey hunting expedition.

I hope the monkeys you want to dump on us are fat, and not mercilessly overpriced ?

grin
I don't own Okomu, nor do I intend to. I only own the best businesses in any sector.

just wanted to touch grass and learn about the business

Dangcem, Lol, #40 to #50 div. Is likely.
Alhaji has a way of paying all his eps for the yr.
He has done that in the last two yr.He even dipped hand into reserve to make up at a point
Forward eps could come to #60 for full yr.
So I see #50 very likely

The market priced all that in.

Not rejecting the monkeys.
Only, let them be mercifully priced.

Monkey hunting is legit.
grin
U are right. Market had done justice to the price. I bought at #50 and wanted to sell at #500 to rebalance to another stock.
I was shocked it kept moving to do 1k plus.
Very wonderful investment for me oh

MH in my opinion is not legit. It is man inhumanity to man.lol.
Like when it gets to a point u are shouting buy buy when in the other hand u are selling

A newbie like me is confused on which stock to buy.
Being a newbie, the best strategy for you is to buy fundamentally sound stocks which have very low OS and quite low prices. That way, you will hardly record losses even if you don't make profit.

Even if you do, your monkey is a quality monkey; healthy and fat, only pricey.

Make sure you don't mind me. grin

MH is only a bad habit, not crime. grin grin

In the midst of the red, champion brewery is showing a lot of resilience. Not sure the result is responsible for that anyway.

It depends on the particular time of consideration. For example; some few months back, Presco was around N300 , and given its low OS of just 1 billion, it posted a very fantastic result. Thereafter, it just began to move and before you knew it, it had hit over N1000 due to the combined pressure of good result and scarcity occasioned by the low OS.

Other examples are Okomu Oil with an OS of less than 400 million, RT Briscoe of a little above 1 billion, NAHCO of about 1.6 billion, etc

But for NAHCO, as someone earlier explained here, it was once at N8 some few months back and it posted a very good result. The scarcity occasioned by it OS of 1.6b saw it ride to its current N100+ within few months. So the research is yours to do on the stocks that hold such status at the present moment.

Thanks. I have just checked now and realized that it is the free-float that is less than 400m while the OS is actually 980m as you said.

Thank you. Explains why it has refused to drop below 16 but with lots of volumes within that range. That's what champions want to buy with money they intend to raise via rights issue. Make them announce the rights make we buy o

Has a higher free float compared to Presco.

Core investor of Presco has 600 million shares

Stanbic IBTC Pension Fund Managers has 51 million shares of Presco

So free float is 350 million

It's amateurish to do that in a production environment.
