@Bolded I guess this is exactly what he meant. you might have interpreted differently. You guyz are probably on same page.

I believe you are justifying the increase in Dividend as a necessity to fund his refinery.
I guess he read it from a different perspective. you guyz are in same page.
You come dey complicate matter grin
No complications really, the guy didn't calm down to read my post, he preferred to hurriedly say he saw a post without facts.

What "catastrophic" news is that? Enlighten me. Price is stable as far as I can see
Normal pullback nah.
It has not even lost 20%
Support is found at 2.80.Tomorrow we will see if the support holds or not.
Na because it's Loco's stock heaven is befalling on it.

This is August,we will check the status again in September and see how far.

1.There is new board/mgt
2. There is a new capitalization of N500B or close to it in the coming weeks/months.

It's a junk stock doing N500B fund raising that attracts the change of board members aby?

Let it be in record that Japaul is one of Loco's junk stocks like champion Breweries.I will like to quote this post by this time next year if Christ tarries.

They also said I am telling people to buy while I am selling.Na God go judge this nah.

They've changed maths since you first learnt it sir 😁

In the current version 1.5% of N500m is much more than 100% of N500

You know I absolutely mean no disrespect right? I'm only trying to bring up the vibe you and I once had with FA if you remember.
Say 6 years ago.

Champion brew on a new mgt(Enjoycorp)has turn the company around.
From junk to value stock.

Likewise a new Chairman/MD in Japaul on agreement to raise N500B will do better hence it's solid mineral they are focusing on.

You can't tell me such amount will keep Japaul at penny level.
We await corporate announcement from the company soonest.

Surely, this same Japaul, people will scramble to buy it above N5.Its just a matter of time.

The best news @ Japaul is the stepping down of Jegede. Its a new dawn@ Japaul.Name and company brand will also be changed in due time

Morgan Capital recommend entry into Aradel @500 and exit at 750.
I don't think there is road for aradel from 500 to 750, i cant find it on the chart.....A break of 550 high will open room for 650 but breaking the 6 months sloped resistance will not be enough to take out the 730 high.........also the structure is not complete + 6 months is not enough to form the kind of base for this asset in the current range. We still need to range a bit....it will be quite boring at first.....what we are looking at is an orchestrated buying and selling by the composite investor....they will keep buying and selling until it gets to the desired location and best average entry price.....

@Electronicmoney

When the shares were purchased, did you confirm it was 20k units then?
If you didn't, then it's possible they got only 1700 for you and never bothered to use up your whole deposit to complete the purchase.

As it is, you can only claim the shares purchased back while, unfortunately, the remaining fund is lost.

More reason some don't always want to keep cash/funds in trading accounts for longer periods but will use it to buy shares..... especially if you're not the monitoring type.

Funds with brokers are safer this way because you can retrieve your shares back but can't retrieve cash back.
Well as at the time I have them the deposit the instruction was to use the whole sum to buy the shares of Wema Bank.

The marketer eventually told me that the bought the shares. I can't remember the exact quantity because it's being such a long time but I know it was definitely more than 1,700 units.

I eventually did not follow up to get a copy of my CSCS statement for it because the shares were doing so poorly and I was having some regret for even making the investment

Wema Bank did share a reconstruction some time ago. Check the ratio. That could be the reason for what you see on your cscs.

How much was the purchase price per unit in 2007?

Below is the shares reconstruction news:
I don't know the exact price on the date of purchase but from info I have been able to piece together I'm very sure it was less than N5 per unit

Sorry for quoting you. And that's the only apology I owe you.

However when you mention the refinery and you refer to 2023, then your own ignorance is obvious.

I'll help you.

The refinery was announced in 2013. It started gulping cash from DIL at about that time.

But especially more since 2020. The cost has gone from $13bn to $20bn and naira woes had made things worse.

2020 was about when Alhaji shot up payout ratio significantly and it's been high ever since.

You mentioning 2024 means you either have insufficient context or you didn't read the post well.
.The ignorance part and ITK is definitely for ur village people. When Alhaji had the dream of his refinery is not my business. I used down to 2023 because that was when the refinery was commissioned/operational.
Did he tell u the funding to build it was not in place over the yrs

In the midst of the red, champion brewery is showing a lot of resilience. Not sure the result is responsible for that anyway.
I think Champion wants to buy Bullet drink company and it is been gradually priced in.
There should be rally in the price by tomorrow, hopefully.

Contact WEMA bank's Registrar, Greenwich..
Explain to them and request that they check the transaction history for you.
If possible, make a phone call.
Search for GTL Registrar's phone or email number online.
It's possible someone sold the qty along the line and pocketed the money.

I have a very important question about "Right Issues", There is a particular company that is having her right issues at the moment,im trying to buy above my allocated due shares, but at the same time im scared of buying beyound my allocated due shares because seems have heard that it can be unsuccessful and getting my funds back might take so long, pls anybody with past expeirnece can reply @ymcy56 @emmanuelewumi ur opinion also needed
I don't have such experience but I think it's simple.....
Buy your allocated shares alone if you have some reservations about buying additional qty.
Monitor market price movement and buy the remaining on the secondary floor.

Always blame the developers na.
The client that owns the website shouldn't have a responsibility of ensuring there's actual information there na.
If there is no info, a page can be left blank instead or preferably have a meaningful text like "Coming soon.." or similar text.

If you're an active trader here, I just wrote a nice Flask app that accurately helps with tracking your earnings, cost, portfolio snapshot etc.

I'm so excited about it.

Super light weight too.

Maybe I'll put it in a public repo for anyone who would like to use.
Flask, interesting. My baptism of Python was with Flask, then Django.

I decided against making it public.

It's been quite helpful though, especially now that I'm approaching N1bn in quarterly volume. (currently at N810m)

I guess I'd be like top 30 brokers if I got a license.
So na long throat you come do us, ehn comrade?

* The red in market may have been triggered by banks.....thus sending panic throughout the market...
* The fear that some consistent ones might not pay interim dividend; May pay below expectations OR, pay small compared to last year's own due to the dilution.
* I'm of the opinion that u.g.a.z may want to do all it takes to pay reasonable interim dividend because they have a target to be met.
* GT already made mention of paying interim dividend, I think UBA or Access too.
* Announcement of this may change the market outlook......
* Are we in bear market yet? Not looking likely.

** This is purely my amateur perspective based on observations of what's going on in market......
* Trends are changing and this idea of September school fees is becoming obsolete....just like the idea of "Sell in May, come back in November" has faded away.
I stand to be corrected.....we continue to observe the trend.

**Pls do not take as any form of advice, just thinking out loud.

I agree, but a serious client would be the one to point this out to the developer.

The blame should be shared between them.

Maybe in the future.
