Good morning guys, I just upgraded from my 2008 es350 to 2012 Rx350, I changed the default rim, bought 4 uniform tires and serviced the car, the problem now is that I’m not feeling the sharpness whenever I want to accelerate, unlike my es that picks up immediately, this one drag a little or accelerate gradually which is boring to me
So I want to know if I have to change the gear oil since the car oil since the car is foreign used or what might be wrong?

I have the check AWD SYSTEM notification, trac off, check srs system airbag and on my dashboard and of cos the check engine light is on.

Run a scan and post codes.

In these cars, when you have some faults related to check engine that triggers the VSC warning message to come on, it also shows the check AWD system.

Have it checked by another mechanic before embarking on that trip. Also, test that car very well within Lagos before going on a journey.

No error code is showing, though the second mechanic said we should use a bigger machine to scan. Please what could be the problem with the transmission?

Okay I think it’s the same issue I had with my mine too. If you’re in Lagos I can link you up with the guy that fixed it for me. He reprogrammed the transmission module using an advanced tool. Though for mine the stuff kept coming back like every one month until I was advised to replaced the ECM and since then it’s been smooth all through.

I am not in lagos, I am in Enugu and this car just arrived Nigeria this month. How do I go about the replacing the transmission module?

I don’t think you’re supposed to replace the module if there’s nothing wrong with it. Actually those components will be inspected, the necessary scans carried out to determine the appropriate solution. In my own case immediately the Tcm was reprogrammed the jerking stopped but it kept coming back. The guy was able to determine that the fault want from the tcm but the ecu. We took the vehicle to ladipo to replace the ecu. After replacement the tcm was reprogrammed and since around February till now no issues at all.

If you can get a good technician with around there with the right tool they should be able to fix it

Please I would need your help to direct me, I want to take it for the scanning, I don't know where to take it or what to tell them I want to scan when I get there. I just need to tell them that I want to do. TCM module reprogramming?

I remember that even after replacement of ecm the tcm had to be reprogrammed or calibrated to the new ecm before the whole thing worked normally. Not every scan too can do this.

No, they brought a new ECM and fixed it. Saying the new ECM is free code. It was test driven and the problem continued. I asked them to replace it and put back my own ECM

No fuse is burnt but I notice that 2 fuse are missing, is that suppose to be so?

Hope you still have your old fuel pump with you since it's not the culprit. Pls don't let people tamper with your car anyhow, since you are lucky to have someone who have had similar experience on the subject matter, get the contact of the guy so that he can walk you and your technician in enugu through the process of fixing it.
Alternatively, you can take the car to Lagos for him to fix or you get the Lagos guy to come to enugu.
Or you can contact Mrford he's on nairaland here and based in PH, he's the closest person to you that I know that can fix it. He's the guzzuzz of this area if you know what I mean.

The people that scanned the car are telling me to change the transmission control module that the RX350 2010 supposed Module number is A1 whereas mine number is V5 and that's the cause.
