I agree, but a serious client would be the one to point this out to the developer.

The blame should be shared between them.
You're making excuses for the Developers. The client may not be remotely tech savvy.

If the team is complete, perhaps the PM would have checked it before they deploy.

Okay. For the use case you described, I am yet to graduate to the level of trading that would make me need it.
Maybe in the future.

I would like to see the app though, and experiment with it.
Yeah, it's a very niche use case.

Ensuring there's accurate data on your website isn't about being tech savvy.

It's about diligence on the part of the company.

Like I said I'm not exonerating whoever wrote the HTML, I'm instead saying the company that allows such content remain on their webpage shouldn't be absolved.

Like with brokers, it's volume that counts.
Bull market, bear market makes no difference.

I want to consistently do 0.1% of the market 😎

There can be POMO when guys announce their 500% looots sha, but understanding compounding helps you realize that 10% a month guarantees 3x increase every year.

Target: N300m for the month!

If I may ask, do you use statistics or technical analysis to choose your entries? How do you handle low liquidity—do you limit yourself to a small subset of highly liquid stocks? This is really cool; I would like to be like you when I grow up.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 9:45pm On Aug 20, 2025
I was thinking that someone could easily act as a market maker for some of these penny stocks. I could pick one solid stock, establish a line (when i grow up), and absorb any supply below that line while selling 4–5% above it—essentially providing liquidity. I believe some whales are already doing this on the NGX, judging from the charts.

The market can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.... Duncan Williams

If you had around 2 billion naira (or enough dry powder), you could apply this strategy to a penny stock with strong fundamentals. Many of these stocks only trade a few million a day, so you could place your buy orders just below a set line and queue about 5% above it. You’d absorb all sales below the line, but since the market has both buyers and sellers, you could then sell 5% above until the bulls clear your backlog. It wouldn’t be simple, but with the right stock, I don’t see why it couldn’t work.

* The red in market may have been triggered by banks.....thus sending panic throughout the market...
* The fear that some consistent ones might not pay interim dividend; May pay below expectations OR, pay small compared to last year's own due to the dilution.
* I'm of the opinion that u.g.a.z may want to do all it takes to pay reasonable interim dividend because they have a target to be met.
* GT already made mention of paying interim dividend, I think UBA or Access too.
* Announcement of this may change the market outlook......
* Are we in bear market yet? Not looking likely.

** This is purely my amateur perspective based on observations of what's going on in market......
* Trends are changing and this idea of September school fees is becoming obsolete....just like the idea of "Sell in May, come back in November" has faded away.
I stand to be corrected.....we continue to observe the trend.

**Pls do not take as any form of advice, just thinking out loud.
This your amateurish perspectives is not a bad one. I am sure that people that are privileged to company news already knows what level UGAZ will be paying for interim dividend. I suspect too that it may not be up to what was paid last year and remember CBN have a final say on the payment of interim dividend coming from the perspective of forbearance and the Single Obligor Limit. cool 😬😎

Mostly large cap.
Most of them trade above #400 per unit.

It has to be that way if I'm gonna achieve my long term target of N10bn per quarter or 1% of the market. 😎

It is very easy to dismiss and negate an idea—very, very easy. Many stocks would have delivered good returns. Take Ellah Lakes, for example. I saw it when it was at ₦3, dipping every now and then below that level. If I had drawn the line at ₦3, I could have taken any supply below while selling each time it gained 5–10%.

There are many stocks in that category because they had either solid fundamentals or strong speculative hope—not just any random stock. Ellah is not the only one. Go and check the charts and you’ll see a number of stocks that maintained a floor until a rally eventually broke them out to the upside.

Of course, there is risk, but that risk is mitigated through careful selection and by working within a narrow buy-sell window. Anyway, I already know from this thread that you all have one way of thinking, and anything outside that must be considered wrong without critical justification. Please continue—your way is the only viable way.

No baba... I dont dismiss the idea. Infact at one stage i have conceived it, but not with 2B. Perhaps from 10B you can pull it yo your favour.

I am so sure some people are already manipulating penny stocks.
Just pick one without fundamentals and begin to sell hope.
Follow the 'Ellah' route by using social media, stockbrokers and market sentiment.

Honestly I can't buy it at the current price not even half that price. I have penned it and several stocks to buy probably from next year or 2027 or any year that bears will roar violently in NGX

Read about Wyckoff, his three laws, and what he says about big money in the market—and broaden your horizon. wink
1. Wyckoff’s Three Laws

Law of Supply and Demand
👉 Big money clue: Institutions quietly accumulate (buy gradually) when supply is high and the public is selling. Later, they distribute (sell gradually) when demand is strong and the public is buying.

2. Law of Cause and Effect
👉 Big money clue: When institutions build large positions (cause), the eventual move (effect) is usually big and sustained.

3. Law of Effort vs. Result
👉 Big money clue: Institutions often leave footprints in volume vs. price behavior. For example, high volume with little downward movement may mean they are buying into the selling.

Summary of the laws Enjoy.

Good morning house.

What stock do you advise between NAHCO and GTCO?

I have both in my portfolio already but I want to top up one of it looking at the current drop in prices.

Isn't this what they've been doing with Japaul on a large scale since forever?
