Being a newbie, the best strategy for you is to buy fundamentally sound stocks which have very low OS and quite low prices. That way, you will hardly record losses even if you don't make profit.

I discovered today that the trading of stocks feature have been added to the Cowrywise app.
I'd appreciate anyone that can help me with the stocks I can buy as a newbie. I'm not after excessive profit as I just want a way for my little savings to appreciate rather than just sitting idly in my account.

NB: I am a young guy currently undergoing apprenticeship so I'm not really buoyant. Let's just say I have about 20k for a start.

The Wyckoff method is based on three core laws:

You could start by reading posts over the past 3 - 6 months on this forum and you'll gain lots of insight into the good, bad and ugly sides of the market. You could also read some of the recommended books and/or watch some of the videos posted here.
You will eventually move from an apprentice of the market to a 'master' of the market. However, 'school fees' will be paid in one way or the other because the market also has a mind of its own.

You never can tell. Next year 2026 will be a pre-election campaign time with lots of slush funds in the system; also the banks would start releasing results to show performance post-new capital requirement.
I am expecting the bear to show up during the usual period of uncertainty and confusion, a few months to the election, i.e. Jan-May 2027

It is active on other brokers like atlas. Confirm from your broker or try another broker.

Thats another stock to look out for.. jaizbank is going to do some numbers.

I wondered what people do think when the price is down, I believed yesterday was one of the best time to buy jaiz at a huge discount.

Nobody knows anything. There is no foolproof in stock market. You may see a beautiful stock with sound fundamental losing the maximum 10%. Then you see another so-called junk stock appreciating by maximum 10%. Then, you begin to wonder what is happening. @ yMcy56 I always enjoy your amateur perspective. Wonder if I will be able to understand you when you turn professional

True!! Everyone in the stock market has experienced this at some point and possibly still experiencing it. The most important thing is let your wins be higher than the losses.. that is why warren will always say if you are not ready to loose 50% of your money, stay away from stocks.. diversificaion cannot be over emphasized... That is the gift and curse of the stock market.. e de happen on a steady.
