MERISTEM is changed now. Their services are cool now. They reply with speed to my concerns. I use them strictly for INVESTMENT PURPOSES while I use the others for jijo, gambles, trades etc grin

This is how they treat me

I don't always recommend doing a transfer to the Stockbroker account.

Use payment gateway Paystack or Flutter; funds reflect your portfolio automatically.
Best option when funding directly from app

That was the first channel I tried but it also depends on network. I tried with since yesterday with a little fund but the transaction failed to complete because of poor network.
I specifically asked for a bank account to do physical bank transfer.
Because of unpredictable network, I didn't want to risk the transfer. I am aware of the transfer app whereby you only need to click 'deposit' to open. You will now see transfer options.

Incase of next time, you should have a dedicated account number with Meristem which your money will be credited to directly without needing to contact them. You will see the number and bank for you and you only under fund management and it will be credited immediately 24/7.

Hope it helps
This is worth asking for, but meritrade is not my regular broker. Morgancapital it is. I transferred the same amount to there three days ago and it appeared in my portfolio immediately.

I fear small sha 😁. Legal issues can be so long and stressful.
This is because, even after close of day's business, they didn't acknowledge receipt, despite the fact that I even sent a screenshot of bank's stamped receipt! This country hard o.
SEC acknowledged their own copy immediately. Kudos to SEC 👍

Our gross FX reserves are growing and currently at $39.54 Billion. If we can get it to cross $45 Billion by the end of this year despite the relatively lower oil prices and high external debt servicing (including the $1.2 Billion Eurobond repayment in November), I would be very confident in the naira going into next year.

$40.15bn

This is the reason I always refer you guys to cardinalstone.
It's a self service platform.
Self funding and self withdrawal.

Imagine this morning I funded my account with huge money like yours and it reflected immediately.

In a bull market use a broker that will not deny you luck.
Those who entered market today are better than those who will enter next week.

I expect you to do the needful soon
I picked some japaul @2.74.

The personal virtual account is the best.

I have one with ARM.
I opened the account for mutual funds but discovered they are into stocks too.

Has anyone here used ARM to buy stocks?
What's their fees like?

You're right on this one
Sometime you buy stock, the market trade to full bid but the daily cap hasn't closed yet, and no one is ready so sacrifice the 100k unit that will close it up or they are not even aware that the job is not done yet. It will be hard to do it without going out of such stock with big cap.
If it were a penny that you bought like 5 to 10m units
You could easily sacrifice 100k unit out of it to close up.

I would be watchful moving on.

Champion is what I'm talking on sir.

Good. Now do the same for Chams, on which he claimed to bet his children's inheritance.

We're too short-term focused. Even a dunce will be right on some stocks in the short term (and wrong on others).

Good evening sir.

I am about to complete the form but I want to purchase additional shares.
I want to know if I would be getting it at the same price as the RI.
ojeysky:
I did mine via meristem as well. Print out the form, fill and have a digital copy of filled form. Then make payment to meristem provided account or fund your meristem account. Fill the online form provided by meristem and upload the receipt of payment (if applicable) and filled chams right issue. Finally, send a mail to meristem notifying of filled form and attach both documents. You should get an acknowledgement!

Gurus in the house what do you think about entering champion next week.
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ItGeek(m): 5:59am On Aug 23, 2025
Cardinal stone is on another level, no womder theyvare gradually becoming the biggest in the industry. Opened an account with them 4 months ago, fast and efficient platform with self service funding. Mails are responded to within hours. Pleasantly surprised, their commision is premium though. Note i still have accounts with morgan and StanbicIBTC, however Cardinalbstine trumps them in service.

Guys, since this issue of funding and withdrawal is such a big one, why don't we advise Morgan and the likes to implement it?

For those with MORE INFORMATION (emphasis on more on cos I hate when it's those with less knowledge on the subject that rush to reply):

Most of the gateways I've tried (Paystack, Monnify, etc) have two issues:
1. They charge N300 per transaction for dedicated virtual accounts.

2. Settlement is not instant, rather it's T+1

How do platforms get around these?.cos when I use Quidax for instance, the deposit costs just #100 no matter the amount, and it's credited instantly.

It seems they use KoraPay and BudPay though.

Apart from those two issues raised, it's a relatively simple feature for these brokers to rollout!
