mikeapollo:I apologize for the tone. This is the deal: I already pointed out that you could use dividends to pay off the N2.5m interest, now even if you don't have or use that, you can obviously sell just N3m worth of shares (taxed at about 15%) which will cost you way less in taxes than if you had to sell the entire N50m and pay over 20% average tax rate. The maths is straight forward. I just thought we needed to beat the back and forth, so we don't derail/spam the thread. Sorry boss. |

YEAR_END-_FINANCIAL_STATEMENT_FOR_2025_FINANCIAL_STATEMENTS_AUGUST_2025.pdf ⸻ 👉 In summary: Ellah Lakes Plc reported revenue for the first time, but still ended with a loss of ₦549.8m. Assets and equity increased significantly, largely due to new financing (including a large director’s loan of ₦6.86bn) and improved cash reserves. However, expenses remain high relative to revenue, keeping the company in loss-making territory. nosa2: |

megawealth01:Alot of improvement by ellah there. I can't wait to see what the progress will look like in the new financial year. Good job by the management. New address of the head office now on the face of the report, I believed that debate has now been put to rest by the crusaders. Accounting numbers are so funny that access to the same no doesn't meant we would have the same views. The sp of ellahlakes has never been based on the current results but on the future many of the shareholders believed is real. From now on, no more selling of ffb but palm oil. wth palm oil price flying currently, the sky is just a starting point. Ellah to the moon. Oyel money is real.. ![]() |

crownprince2017:Please what part of the result was good? The improved cash position was a loan which we know will be converted to equity at a massive discount. The increase in Biological assets was not impressive. Please once again what was excellent about the result? I'm not saying the result was bad but it certainly cant be called good. |

nosa2:Great—thanks for sharing the official document! I’ve reviewed Ellah Lakes Plc’s Consolidated Unaudited Financial Statements for the 12 months ended 31 July 2025, and here’s a comprehensive breakdown of the full-year results: --- Ellah Lakes Plc – FY 2025 Financial Highlights Statement of Financial Position (31 July 2025 vs 31 July 2024) Total Assets: ₦31.16 billion (↑ from ₦24.55 billion) Total Equity: ₦22.91 billion (↑ from ₦21.85 billion) Cash and Cash Equivalents: ₦5.70 billion (↑ significantly from ₦243 million) Statement of Profit or Loss Revenue: ₦139.77 million (zero in 2024) Cost of Sales: ₦1.115 million Gross Profit: ₦138.65 million Administrative Expenses: ₦324.70 million Personnel Expenses: ₦352.39 million (↓ from ₦673.79 million) Finance Costs: ₦9.71 million (↓ from ₦170.37 million) Operating Loss: ₦549.78 million (improved from ₦1.157 billion in 2024) Earnings per Share (EPS): –₦0.14 (improved from –₦0.58 in 2024) Statement of Cash Flows Cash Used in Operating Activities: ₦3.093 billion Cash Used in Investing Activities: ₦668.50 million Cash from Financing Activities: ₦9.216 billion Net Increase in Cash: ₦5.454 billion (amounting to ₦5.697 billion in cash year-end balance) --- Notable Financial Shifts and Interpretations Revenue & Profitability Ellah Lakes generated revenue of ₦139.8 million in FY 2025 after recording none in FY 2024. Costs of sales were modest (₦1.1 million), leading to healthy gross profit. This represents a milestone, indicating operational traction. Operating Efficiency Despite still being unprofitable, the company significantly narrowed its loss: Operating loss improved to ₦549.8 million (from ₦1.157 billion)—a ~53% reduction. EPS loss shrank to –₦0.14 compared to –₦0.58 the prior year. Cost Management Personnel expenses dropped nearly in half—from ₦673.8 million to ₦352.4 million. Finance cost reductions—from ₦170.4 million to ₦9.7 million—highlight successful deleveraging. Cash Flow & Liquidity The company reported ₦5.7 billion in cash at year-end compared to just ₦243 million a year earlier—thanks to strong financing inflows, likely from equity raises and related party conversions. Balance Sheet Strength Non-current assets climbed from ₦23.52 billion to ₦24.67 billion, notably driven by property, plant, and equipment. Biological assets increased to ₦768.9 million (from ₦585.1 million) reflecting expansion in agricultural operations. Share capital and premium rose, reflecting share issuances: deposit for shares stands at ₦2.498 billion. Directors’ loan balance appeared at ₦6.862 billion—likely connected to shareholder-loan to equity conversions approved earlier. --- Summary Table Metric FY 2025 FY 2024 Key Insight Revenue ₦139.8 million ₦0 First revenue reporting Operating Loss ₦549.8 million ₦1.157 billion ~53% reduction EPS –₦0.14 –₦0.58 Significant improvement Personnel Expenses ₦352.4 million ₦673.8 million Substantial cost savings Finance Costs ₦9.7 million ₦170.4 million Substantial debt servicing reduction Cash & Equivalents ₦5.7 billion ₦243 million Major liquidity improvement Biological Assets ₦768.9 million ₦585.1 million Growth in agribusiness base Directors’ Loan ₦6.862 billion ₦0 Likely reflects capital restructuring --- Strategic Takeaways Positive Momentum: Ellah Lakes is transitioning—from no revenue to tangible sales, with clear progress in narrowing losses and cost management. Liquidity Backup: Cash reserves are now strong, with IPOs or equity raises establishing a buffer. Operational Expansion: Increase in biological and PPE assets indicates growing agricultural operations. Execution Risk: To turn profitable, sustained revenue growth and further operating leverage will be critical. --- Would you like to explore potential 2026 forecasts, compare Ellah Lakes with sector peers, or run a valuation analysis based on current trajectory and capital structure? I’d be happy to help with any next steps! |

If you can't see clear improvements then probably you are comparing it with something else rather than the 2024 results. The market is never expecting your expectations in this current results because it marks the end of lack of revenue to small revenue. The com just started generating revenue in Q3 we don't expect anything extra ordinary here. On the biological assets, the CEO was clear, we are very conservative in our biological assets revaluations. Safe yourself some stress sir.. ![]() |

nosa2:I guess these are what represnt good in that beautiful nonsense 1.Retained earnings still progressing south 2. Biological assets having combination of 3 things grow from 585 Million plus to just 768 million plus. What kind of chicken growth What kind of yeye dey smell growth. This is what will produce the miraculous revenue in coming yrs. Next yr is not far No wonder meristem gave the revenue forecast in those range.I now doubt if they can even attain those numbers. My opinion I don't believe in the 250 billion thing till I see the Money 3 Equity marginal growth against previous yr . 4.I would have been OK with reduction in personal expenses by 321413 million. Then u see how the same people gave loan to themselves and approved it themselves. Who scrutinized the loan .Then went from back door and declared 6.8 billion loan from themselves that will be converted to equity at thr own rate. That is scam alert. If they eventually raise any amount. They have cornered almost 7 billion from it.I will be expecting like another 10 billion to go this way next yr. I need to go learn accounting from agba to apply the same kind of account engineering to escape from this new tax law next yr. Who will say accounting is not a miracle making profession 5. The revenue shock my village farmers and other people into farming with that kind asset They now have grace of 1 or 2 months to deliver audited version |
