pluto09:This is not possible oga, the basis and worth of the company as at when the deal was communicated, is totally different from what the current worth of the company is, based on its financial performance. It will only make the deal longer for minority share holders, as they will need to propose a new value, of which will be agreed upon, at an AGM, before getting SEC approval for it. If I were you, its time to position and be watching. Definitely, the price is going to be higher than the earlier proposed, as the company is now worth more. |

Streetinvestor2:You know, I warned about buying above estimated price that time when some projected N150, but I come look like say I no know wetin I dey talk. In a buyout situation, we can't just assume a price but we can have an estimated price based on consideration of certain factors and figures. For now, we don't even know the exact value Huaxin bought it yet.. * If Huaxin bought the 83.81% (13,500,114,800units) of HOLCIM's stake at $1bn for instance, the price will be N114.07 * If it's the initial $838.13 million, then it will be N103.85 Now, there was a clause of "before dividend markdown", so this may have effect on the unit price was purchased again......either slightly down or up. ** As it is, I don't think Huaxin planned taking the whole 100% of WAPCO shares (only took 100% of HOLCIM shares).... Based on the contents of the deal and based on my amateur interpretation, HUAXIN did not plan delisting WAPCO from NGX.... Maybe it will now be later later date o, we don't know yet. ** I think it's better not to act in haste yet......those selling off might have purchased at a very low price of 40, 30 or below self..... ** Just my opinion. |

dapix:Positioning ke? I don't like uncertainty and I don't like any stock that can tie down my money. I have some stake in the company already but I am definitely not interested in adding to my position. Na to turn the investment to hope remain now 😂 |

dapix:Oga, don't be in haste to take any position, let's have a clear communication from the new substantial holder (HUAXIN CEMENT) first..... ** I don't advice any haste in taking any action (either to sell or buy) for now. ** Caveat: Remember this is strictly my amateur opinion, the fact remains that you are the CEO of your portfolio ![]() |

yMcy56:The deal cannot be concluded until all suits are settled. They are still at preliminary stages of their suit. In fact the suit has been put on hold pending the determination of an appeal at the court of appeal. This their deal might not have SEC approval until that suit is settled. It is only when SEV approves that they can make the communication on NSE and then the MTO. Meanwhile e be like say Ellah don release another thing today by way of publication |

yMcy56:What I know is no matter that nigeria is a banana country. The chinko can not force any price they like on minority shareholders. The minority in this case equally have people way strong. I believe they won't be delisting too. All I want is to be collecting good dividend going forward. The nigeria minority shareholders are beginning to get a say in things. If they could fight wale and he bent who be chinko way sabi fear |

MeezPat:This comment is premium! Even if you mean something else. People with bullion vans of Naira notes will still claim the title of billionaire. With the way the word billionaire is being thrown around, you'd think billionaire status is all that there is to achieve in life. Make una no block me a third time o, I love peace. |

leo1234:Agreed! No major feat in life is easy to come by. As billionaire status is everything to some, another achievement is everything to others. In KarlTom's voice, "to each Mallam, his own kettle". No one has it all, and there's no one who has nothing at all. Appreciate your own gifts and blessings. |

KarlTom:The problem with Ellahlakes is overambitiousness. You are yet to generate commensurate returns, but you want to expand aggressively. Even Dangote Cement first consolidated in nija with decent profit generation before expanding to other countries. ![]() |
