Strong resistance at N20 so anything between 20 to 20.5 is a goal

How do you score these goals without shifting goal post??

Cos you wait at 20.5, it builds support at 24, then 6 months later, it's doing full bid at 36, isn't that a tiring wait if you never shift?

Close your eyes when dealing with Agba.
You will not make money if you take him serious.
Ask those who followed his posts on Gtb.
None of his predictions in the last 2 years has not and will never come to pass if he doesn't leave women holes.
Some people are still dwelling on his past history. That was when he wasn't contaminated.
That value is no more there.
Be warned

It depends on how the support was built. If it was formed from below by being an old resistance that was broken and turned into support, then the price may still return there, even if only briefly. All it would take is some discouraging news or a whale offloading. That 20 is possible. lipsrsealed

An equity raise is not necessary for insurance companies
When the CBN issued a new minimum capital requirement, the instructions were simple. Minimum paid-up share capital must be increased, and retained earnings are not allowed to translate into share capital. Hence, publicly listed banks had to raise capital from the equity market.

However, for insurance companies, it is a different ballgame. While the injection of fresh funds through private placements, rights issues, or offer for subscription is welcome, it is not the only means. According to draft guidelines seen by BusinessDay, NAICOM notes that for existing insurers, the minimum capital requirement can be satisfied with net assets minus own shares held by the company (treasury shares).
The regulator, however, streamlines what portion of the total assets is “admissible” in the estimation of net assets. These admissible assets are

Cash and bank balances
Tenored deposits with financial institutions
Government Bonds
Treasury Bills
Corporate Bonds (Quoted)
Commercial Papers
Quoted equities
Loans to policyholders
Loans to agents’ reinsurance assets
Premium receivables (certified as received by external auditors)
Investment properties (not more than 20 percent of MCR)
Statutory deposit
Since NIIRA was signed into law, no publicly listed insurer has announced plans for an equity raise to meet the MCR. A signal that many of these insurers may not go that route. Also, unlike the banks, all indications point to the fact that retained earnings can be translated into minimum capital requirements.

For new insurers, the minimum capital requirement will be restricted to highly liquid and secure instruments. These include cash and bank balances, term deposits with financial institutions, government bonds, and treasury bills.

The wind that easily blows off shanties built on beaches, would be felt as breeze by other well built structures.

Access is more of a well built structure than a shanty.

Discouraging news?? Not so much. Whales offloading? Let's see how Aig and Wigwe's family settle on who manages his holdings.

If it goes to the family(extended) obviously they'll be highly likely to sell off (since they didn't work for it) 😁😁😁

I add laugh emojis to my posts since the forum is faceless, I don't like to come across as making arguments.

I just share perspectives- in good spirits.

Or Warren Buffet's.
At 95, Warren is putting off retirement for another 6 months.
Which shows reluctance to quit the game, and hand over the helm.

Don't even talk of our neighbor, President Paul Biya of Cameroun.
At 92, Oga Paul is running for a new term of office that will end at his 99th birthday.
And in case you're suspecting that after that, he might go for yet another term, with "many supporters" cheering, don't be shocked if it turns out you were right.

So why are people selling if that's the case? Assuming the court-ordered meeting occurs in the next 6 months, the "last highest traded price in the past 6 months" would be about 150+. That should be the floor for the stock if that were the case.

yMcy56:
Rakish was right.

It's the last highest traded price in the past 6mths before the court ordered meeting

The 1% Mandatory Tender Offer is just in fulfillment of the rule that guides bulk purchases from majority shareholder(s) to protect and be fair to minority shareholders.

Or one could cost-average instead of betting that an undervalued stock will come down to one's buy price. Unless you have the resources and control to move the stock, that is.

Kpakus the scam alert management will convert the loan at #15....lol.
I said it will be in the range of #2.80 - #3.00
I decided to use the grace of #3.00 .
At the agm nobody expected this kind of money as directors loan. The loan talked about no even reach 2 billion that was why no much blink about it.
Haba 6.8 billion directors loan when they could not pay 3.1 billion from bank and suppliers.
Janet will be a learner with time for this one in agba voice

Good evening all.

What is wrong with the Meritrade app?
For the past few days, it's difficult accessing my account.

It keeps displaying "unexpected data format"

Anyone facing similar challenge? How did you resolve it!

I usually have this same issue but I found a way around it. First sign out then sign in and you’re back in business or rather that’s what worked for me.

Well, the fact is when you're mature, you get less aggressive.

Some of us are still young, our portfolios are young too, so we can't exactly copy you.

A lot of banks will gladly fix your N15bn at 27%, so I can see why you won't buy 8% dividend yield in a hurry.

I bought when it traded over 130 on London exchange with the hope that it will easily do 120 on NGX.

Lesson learnt 🙂

To be candid, banks and endless dilution na 5 and 6.

They will make plenty eps but will declare shikini money.

Someone said na accounting profit be the bulk of the money but I disagreed. Is access using accounting profit for all this acquisitions.

I just believed that those guys are either starching those cash for the right time to delist or finding a way through acquisition to siphon the money.

This is my opinion about Nigerian banks

Cowboys everywhere, buying Nigerian bank and thinking you want to own it forever, na scam, as they will find a way to dilute you or not allow you to experience the big break you ought to get from the stock market.

I don't and will never do long term with them.
Those guys are only interested in growing their personal wealth.

The money you they see for book they useful to them in terms of goodwill but not to you as shareholders if it's not being paid to you.
