We await more positive news to drive another, even more powerful rally 👍
Most likely the explosive news of successful 250b capital raise to be closely followed by
news of some mega acquisition(s).

With the current SP, I don't think UBA rights were taken by minority holders.
I anticipate an extension of the deadline with tomorrow's holiday in mind...

Actually the signs were there wink

Now I expect a rally that'll take the SP well above ₦50 in order to make the RI attractive to SH 🤠

By the way, I don't know why I never received correspondence on the UBA RI from PAC Registrars 🤔. My wife and son do get their mails

Fidson-Ohara! A partnership set to shake up Africa's healthcare sector!

Nigerian pharma giant Fidson Healthcare just signed a major deal with Japan's Ohara Pharmaceutical Co. This is a game changer for medicine on the continent.

In the MOU, Ohara will provide strategic support, expertise, and help Fidson raise capital. This will supercharge Fidson's ability to produce specialized, high-quality drugs right here in Nigeria, ensuring self-sufficiency and affordable access to life-saving drugs for millions.

Exclusive:

Dangote is about to drop another banger on the stock market! But this time, it's not cement or sugar. It's fertilizer. And the valuation talk is making sense for those who understand.
Let's break down the potential listing of Dangote Fertiliser.

The Main Gist: Analysts are guessing that Dangote Fertilizer could be worth between $2.5 billion and $3.5 billion when it lists on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX). This isn't just a number; it's a huge deal for Nigeria's stock market.

The "Why" is important: The initial construction cost of the plant was about $2.5 billion alone. Dangote himself has thrown out some serious numbers, talking about a potential $20 million daily revenue. A huge cashflow!

The Dollar Factor: The Naira can be volatile, so Dangote is making a smart move. He said the business is "dollarized", meaning investors can expect returns in dollars. This will surely attract foreign investors who are always concerned about value & volatility of the Naira.

Expansion on the Horizon: Dangote isn't stopping at the current plant. There are plans to triple production capacity from 3 million to 9 million metric tons. This would make it the largest fertilizer plant in the world. The ambition shows a long-term vision, not a quick cash grab.

A Big Win for Nigeria: The plant has already made Nigeria a net exporter of urea, reducing our dependence on foreign fertilizers and helping other African countries. This isn't just about money; it's about strategic importance and food security for the continent.

What this means: A listing like this would be massive for the NGX. It could add billions to the market and attract a lot of new eyes and money to the Nigerian stock market. The future is looking green for investors who get in on this.

Just read an article on Reuters that Indonesia, the world's largest producer and exporter of Palm oil, has deployed a biofuel (called B40) that uses 40% Palm oil content.

In 2024, 13.2million kilolitres was consumed with 15.6million kilolitres allocated for 2025.
They're already working on B50 (60% palm oil content) which may require up to 19 million kilolitres of palm oil a year with likely deployment in 2026.

Likewise, there's an outbreak of Ganoderma (a parasitic fungus that causes palm trees to rot).

Palm Oil price might move ⬆

That statement is about the nominal (par) value of a share versus its market/issue price.

Let me try and explain:

50 kobo each is the nominal (or par) value of the share i.e. the minimum face value assigned when the company created the shares via IPO
₦50 per share is the actual price at which the share is being sold (in the stock market or through a new issue).

The difference between these two values is called Share Premium smiley

Thank you very much for the explanation.

So as investors since we are getting the Rights issue at the actual price/market price(N50), why do they bother mentioning the nominal value(50 kobo)? Or is there a way to get those Rights issue at the nominal value price or share premium price, which in either case will be a huge discount(10x or close to 10x)

Good time to hold naira assets o.
And their $21bn liquidity injection hasn't even come.

I considered reactivating my dollar fund account last month, but I was like what's the point really?

MMF will give me 18%
Dollar fund will give 6% and if naira strengthens to 1350, I would have lost 10%

Every strategy needs a good timing.

I don't think now's a good time to be converting naira.

I just lost more on the BTC I bought at 117k.

So, let me keep my small PRESCO na.

Something I will sell if is see 1450? 😁

But certainly for long termers these are strong HODLS.

Imagine if FTN cocoa ran cocoa business the way these guys do oyel, the rally caused by that outbreak last year would have been massive for their stock price too.

I just might start holding a little longer 😁😁.

At least weeks instead of days.

Holding for years isn't yet my portion.

I expected there would be some pressure on the naira by this time due to people stocking up for Christmas and importing ahead. There is also the factor of low crude oil prices at $66 on average in August and spilling into September so far, yet the naira did not weaken.

If it doesn’t weaken (to some extent) between now and November, then December would be very promising because the naira normally does well in December but struggles between June and October (most especially between June and September).

It just may end this quarter below #1400.

That'll be a good relief.

That's like N1m going off the price of average cars for Nigerians.

Let people take a breather.

Can you expantiate more on your "except you co-founded the company o."
Does it mean as a UBA co-founder, I can or I will get it at the nominal value?

No, like someone said, you can never get the shares at nominal value again.

You could only have gotten for that price at the point of incorporation. If you were a founding member.

Like 30, 50, 100 years ago.

Or you can just ask an AI to explain more, it's patient enough.

But use one that has "Thinking" o.
Otherwise you're likely to hear more rubbish than facts.

Thanks. I know all this already but I only asked when the English statement used is not clear/simple and straightforward because my curious and alert mind is always asking: "is there something I am missing perhaps a secret profitable deal(s) or opportunities I am not using or maximizing"

For example in your case when you mentioned "except co-founders", your statement was simple and straightforward but not clear without inserting a timeline(only possible timeline). So if I were a co-founder, with your "except co-founders" statement, I wanted to jump on the opportunity.

On the other hand I don't consider myself as I-too-know even on the things that I know, that'swhy I asked(though at times the questions might sound unreasonable/stupid with those who view it as common knowledge that you should know). Also other reasons eg. knowledge gets updated and we have to unlearn and relearn. Because at the end of the day with reminders and being reminded, we are persuaded or convinced even in the things that we do know.

Once again thanks

You're exactly right.
Sorry for not constructing the statement properly.
Also I apologize if it seemed like I insinuated you didn't already have the knowledge I shared.

But I appreciate the kind of response you gave, I like it. It was easy to see where I was wrong.

Some other people would just argue unnecessarily.

Madam and your son, indeed the whole family must be highly favoured, blessed and anointed for greatness, riches. They don't have to stress themselves and are probably less aggressive in monitoring and tackling all the stocks on NGX. Daddy is probably too aggressive for the billions in NGX so the Registrars are scared and afraid of him!
