Crime is gradually becoming the the norm in our society today.
Blaming it solely on bad governance is not a worthy justification for all these atrocities happening.

Bad parenting is a critical reason for all these moral decadence enshrined in our various society.

How can you comfortably take something that does not belong to you in any way and not feel any fragment of remorse for your action.

Every car ought to have gps tracking device and a registered plate number which should make the work easy for the cops.

That's thinking like a child , the CCTV was played back to know what transpired. Those that put CCTV do not sit all day to monitor it else, there will not be any need for it, just sit and monitor your surrounding yourself. CCTV is only there to record things that happen in your absence

I think the op said Abuja..but the major concern here is how we can can collectively mitigate this havoc before it transition into something else.

if the owner procured security system for his car, the thief would have been apprehended on the sporty and if he scales through this stage, would have all his physical details captures such that it would very easy to track and nab him. Just about investment in a good smart security system would have take care of this threat.

Where did he get the keys to start the car?
Worshippers would not be monitoring their cars during service.

Crimes have always been around. Social media is just making it easier to hear news from other parts of the country and the world.
When I was a kid , I still remember vividly how thieves used to steal cars in Lagos to the extent that my dad used to lock the steering wheels before going to bed.
Crime rate has actually gone down compared to what it used yo be.
Armed home robbery was very frequent in the past. I don't hear about that as much as it used to be.

How is this a CCTV footage? Everything is now content. I weep for my country

Bad parenting is destroying our society.
Family is a unit in every given society.
When more units are unhealthy it will affect everything.
Right now it feels like more dysfunctional families are higher than functional ones, that’s why they blame government for every bad thing.

That car is not random. I am sure they must have come into contact with the vehicle before the car was stolen.

How on earth does a static CCTV capture videos like a smartphone?
Not even the so-called 360° CCTV's footage rolls like what's shown on there!
