Your NIN also serves as your Tax ID in 🇳🇬. This takes effect from January.
Your existing TIN remains valid. If you already have one, you do not need to register again. For those without a TIN, you will need your NIN (individuals)

Initially, they said the savings from subsidy removal would be used to transform Nigeria's economy by building infrastructure-roads, schools, hospitals, electricity.

Now, they are saying the savings from subsidy removal is no longer enough to transform Nigeria's economy. Meanwhile, they have removed the so called ''subsidy'' on electricity and naira by devaluing the currency massively from N500:$ to N1,530:$.

The question is: what have they done with the savings in more than 2 years in govt?

You think everybody lives in the cities?
The truth is there will be more activity shifted to the informal sector outside the formal banking system.

Let's stop thinking that the NGX is only for Nigerians!
It is this myopic view of successive govts that messes things up in this country.
This issue is not personal because millions of people would be affected. If the NGX crashes due to poorly thought-out policies, you and I would feel it.

1. NNPCL JV with Renaissance (Former SPDC) is 55% : 45%

NNPCL to sell 25% of their 55% ownership to Sterling Global, making the revised JV to be:

NNPCL 30%
Renaissance 45%
Sterling 25%

2. NNPCL JV with Oando is 60% : 40%

NNPCL to sell 25% to Oando, making the revised ownership to be:

I am not cheering them. They:re doing "global best" policies, in other words copy-cat policies, without global best governance and accountability.

I agree they could end up chasing off participation and liquidity, thereby crashing the market with these extreme policies.

But if they insist on it, they may be levies and charges on foreign in investors before they can repatriate their loot to make for the tax requirement.

You can't stop a government when desperate to force through any policy.
