Hi Nairaland, I need advice.

A friend of mine gave me a girl’s number. I know she’s in my church, and I really like her. I’m wondering if it’s okay to message her. I’m trying to stay confident, grounded, and not come off as needy.

Here’s the situation:

My friend said I like her, so he passed the number.

I haven’t messaged her yet, and I don’t want to lose my frame.

I’m aware she may not respond immediately or may not be online.


I want to send a message that is friendly, confident, and emotionally intelligent — something that sparks interest without being overly flirty or desperate.
