US dollar is taking a beating too. So the naira may just keep strengthening relative to USD especially even without CBN intervening much.

Very funny. You think my post is to tell anyone to buy chams.Who cares whether anyone buys it or not.My post is that if a better company finds it difficult to raise less than 8 billion na kpakus that is scam alert that want to raise 250 billion. It is not about manipulating kpakus SP
I have been in chams and proudly picked all my rights. How many of u will agree to pick up kpakus if they come to raise money tomorrow

What yr do u think kpakus can hit revenue of 14 billion as u claim u are not follow follow
Why not first remove the log of WOOD/OANDO in eyes before talking about Ellah lakes PLC a money spinner coy that have giving some of us over 200% profit and still counting ?

You are so much concern about other people affairs while your left yours unattended

Oando plc has a significant debt burden, with its total liabilities significantly exceeding its assets, resulting in negative equity and a high debt-to-equity ratio. In 2025, the company's total debt was reported as approximately ₦3.22 trillion,.

With this level of OANDO huge debt. you still see it as good buy for a company that have not paid dividend over the past 10ys but you don't see Ellah lakes as a good buy...

You can actually learn a lot about the fundamentals of stocks through the Coronation Investment Academy — they break things down in a simple way. Plus, there are always stock recommendations shared within the community, so you can follow along, learn, and build confidence as you invest. https://academy.coronation.ng?referring=da
SMJay:
Good morning, everyone 🌞

They say in the multitude of counsel there is safety, so I’d love to hear from this community.

I currently have about ₦400,000 that I’d like to invest in the stock market. Please, what stocks would you advise I consider? (Of course, not financial advice 😉).

I’ll really appreciate your thoughts—thank you in advance! 🙏

Bizibi:

Attached is the shareholding structure of Presco. 400k (250+ units) will place this person among the 6k investors who hold 1-1000 units out of the the entire 13k shareholders. They will belong in the 50% of shareholders by value/units. That's not bad at all, considering that there are over 100 million Nigerians who are of age to buy and own shares.

When someone wakes, it is that person's morning. There is still money to be made from Presco. That newbie should not be discouraged about quantity. A good stock remains a good stock. This was how I penciled down Airtel, Seplat, Dangote Cement, Bua food for a long time without buying a unit and over time their prices double, some trebled because I was worrying about how many units I will be able to buy.

Lesson learnt: Buy fundamentally sound stocks irrespective of their price. It is by far better than buying in great quantity of junk stocks grin

You need some level of maturity to hold these kind of stocks.

Maturity that makes you stay focused when some penny stocks are flying 200% mostly on the basis that just N1bn can cause a 100% rally in some of them.

Whereas these ones need almost the same amount for just a price change.

Think of it as magnetizing steel vs magnetizing cast iron, from what I remember one is slower to rise but is persistent, while the other rises very rapidly, but also crashes very rapidly.

Naira sustaining it's rally, closing today at 1484.14

I'm happy for you boss.
What I'm implying is that before anyone allows themselves to be discouraged due to overthinking how insignificant their shares will be in any company, they should remind themselves that we plenty wey dey the bottom of the shareholding pyramid. Nothing is too small to invest in any company. The people holding more than you today might not hold a significant fraction of what you'll own in the future. The 6000 people on that pyramid are investors, not observers.

We know how 2023 went down based on inec glitch. Nigerians whr taken by surprise because ithey had believed in inec. This time they are vigilant because they don't trust inec again.
Abiola did the unthinkable even with military president

Yope the market is a bit slow now until probably end of September/ early October. Then the market would come alive again.
