From 0.30k, to 0.50k.....then to N1.25k
I think Zenith has tried.
Na interim ooo, no be final.
Make some people dey get contentment sometimes. smiley
At least, now we know that the payment of interim is sure by ugaz....
I am happy about the interim dividend o. After all they increase from N1.00 to N1.25k
This is an increment. They paid only N1.00k last year. Now with higher outstanding shares they still up their game. grin

Quite interesting. So now Access likely pays 1 naira while Zenith pays 1.25 naira in interim.
Yet, Zenith is priced almost 2.5X of Access.
BTW, Zenith's profit is down 13.95% YoY compared to H1 2024, but is paying out 25% more.

Updated:
Zenith wrote down over 700Bn in impairment....I see.

Zenith paid ₦1 last year, so that’s about a 25% increase. It should slowly push past ₦70, and possibly ₦100 (which is my fair value).
Oh really!
I thought it was 50kobo
At least there's still a 25% increase on the amount paid last year on top the dilution self.
Dem don try I think.

UBA is trying to meet up with recapitalization. No wonder the free fall of their share price. From N2.00k interim dividend to N0.25k this year. This is too poor. sad

shebi there was news flying around that the banks will not pay interim dividend apart from GTCO due the forbearance issues.

Now at least they paid which shows their strength. I believe when they are all out of the woods, return to quality dividend payment is sure

Let's see what GTCO pays. The should do better.
I no trust Access but they may surprise us.
But forget the poor dividend, the fact that they are able to pay dividends shows they might have met and resolved the CBN forbearance issue.

CBN has done one part.
They should do the other next Tuesday.

September must close above 145k.

If you recall the purpoted instruction from the Central Bank to the effect that UBA should not pay dividends till next year because of forbearance liability, you want to thank God that it would now pay a little.
If not that Nigerian investors are rugged, we would have exited the stock since last month. For instance, I still went ahead to buy over three hundred thousand units of the stock.
Baba God, thank you o.

Dangote sells to West African countries at N56 discount?

Is that part of the deal to add additional N56 to what local consumers will pay

And this N56 will be shared among some stakeholders.

Just musing
The exports may be priced on the reduced marginal cost to produce more products after a production level is attained.

After X units are produced the increased marginal cost of producing dx for export is lower. Hence exported goods can be sold at a lower price. This makes exports more competitive and creates little hiccups if export ceases for whatever reason for the producing company ops. Everything need not be a conspiracy.

Have they really?
For UBA, their total forbearance liability was around 771B. Seems they only took half the hit yet. Another half year to go.
Zenith specifically mentioned it in their report that they have exited forbearance but I can't see any mention of it in UBA's report.

"On June 14 2025, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) issued a Circular directing Banks to suspend payment of dividend to shareholders, bonuses to Directors and investment in foreign subsidiaries until full and independently verified exit of loans granted under regulatory forbearance. Accordingly, Zenith Bank took a bold move to fully exit the loans granted under the CBN regulatory forbearance. "

The management is not serious. What is the essence of this when u are still struggling to meet recapitalisation. I was not expecting any dividend when many are not picking up the RI because it is above floor price..
Tony no think this one well

If Zenith has a fair value of N100, then UBA fair value must pass N75.

In the issued report it can be seen how he lifted a FAT chunk of rights. TOE and key directors have put their strength into raising the value of UBA shares. That's good enough signal for value investors.

UBA RI was dead on arrival. How is it possible for me to see a product cheaper and go for the same product with a higher price. All the price manipulation will be seen in the coming months. I knew the N2.00k interim dividend paid last year was not sustainable, forbearance issue or not. Let's know their recapitalization stance to know the next line of action. angry
