What is the average transaction cost for taking up a public offer e.g in case of Sterling IPO. Since the IPO and market price are similar, I guess the sweetner could only be the difference in the transaction charge? |

IYGEAL:Ibtc asked me to bring N5m plus utility bill showing my name as the property owner. I had nothing close to either of those at the time 😁😁 And it's not even N5m of today's money o. |

simple and short kwestion when will they start paying 5% as dividend and become profitable essentialone1: |

awesomeJ:That was exactly why I didn't use them at the time. I had them locked in as a reliable broker, as I was looking for a stable company that won't easily close shop and come up with stories. One of my mentors then introduced Morgan Capital Group, who were charging the least fees with a very good UI/UX. |

dapix:N2.5 interim. Would have been more impressive if their interim/final ratio was normal. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 2:29pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
awesomeJ:It's an improvement on last year's N2. They also paid N3 as final dividend for last year. Not bad. Zenith and Stanbic improved on their interim dividend. I believe Access will do better. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 2:31pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Mpeace:Ohh... Thanks for this update. I was thinking of their old pattern when final dividend was always leaner than interim. |

I believe that 5m policy has been relaxed. IYGEAL: |

Mpeace:My only concern with stanbic is that SEC fine in their statement |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 3:03pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
ojesymsym:They were consistently topping the volume and value charts at the time na. Thank God for good competition. Plus the market has moved to more domestic players compared to the foreigners that were the large chunk of their clientele (I suppose) |

Hello house, How does one monitor one’s stocks, is the CSCS app working? Or where can I see all my stocks? I have my CHN no but I don’t have a broker |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by unite4real: 3:25pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Tetrahedron:if you do not have a broker and you have a CHN number, then it is one of the wonders of the NGX |

Morgan has one feature that they do not have, Morgan gives you an immediate estimate of the total cost when you input quantity and price, Stanbic does not however Stanbic allows you to select the duration of days you want your limit price to last, to the best of my knowledge, Morgan will cancel all pending order at the end of the trading day, which means you have to refill an order the next day if it was not fulfilled that day. In all, they all have their uses. Stanbic is where I do my compounding, because the investment there are mostly from dividends or gains so I tend to indulge more with the dividends that come that secondary income unlike the primary dividend that the first right is for it to be invested. awesomeJ: |

ojesymsym:I think Morgan was set up with traders and retailers in mind! It's been awesome so far. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 3:43pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
ojesymsym:Morgan is similar to cardinal stone then. For me, I use cardinal stone primarily (especially for equities) then cowry for other investments because the fees on the cowry app for the stock market are way too expensive. |

Let them sha cut tomorrow. If not, I'll visit FedralHighCourt. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Agbalowomeri: 4:18pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
awesomeJ:Rate cuts means lower earnings for banks |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by GeneralDae: 4:18pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
awesomeJ:If they don’t cut tomorrow then they would cut at the next meeting. I suspect a 25 bps cut but I wouldn’t be surprised if they hold. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 4:20pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:I know that's where you would take it to 😁😁😁 Doesn't mean GTCO will reach your N18 though. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Agbalowomeri: 4:21pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
GeneralDae:They will hold |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 4:22pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
GeneralDae:I know they're being overly conservative too. But they should really just do 150bps cut. Their view looks too one-sided. Like Trump argues, if you cut and things goes haywire(highly unlikely) you can always rehike in November na. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by unite4real: 5:14pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
Agbalowomeri:It is not so straight forward. the banks are holding so much bonds. A lower rate means higher value of those bonds and they may begin to trade them. there will also be increased lending with less defaults and impairments |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 5:21pm On Sep 22, 2025 |
unite4real:And some corporates that have swapped credit lines for CPs may revert. But Agba 's mind is in other places 😀😀😀 He views everything from the lens of how GTB can hit N18 for him to buy. |

ositadima1:Exactly..this is the reality. This is the koko. Compounding effect should be reported not the usual Y-o-y or monthly reduction as IMF and economics reports them. Make I Expand the bracket ![]() Month --> Month reports of 40%-->35%--35%-->35%->30%-->25%-->20%= 220% Compounded!!!!!❌ 100%= doubled 200%= trippled!! 220%= price has more than trippled! But on the surface, the rates of increase are reducing gradually from 40 to 35 to 30 to 25.. Who ee help? . Doesn't benefit the masses with stagnant purchasing power.❌ Simply, Nigerians need average deflation rate reports.. rate(Deflation) of -10%--> -15%--> -5%-->-12%..✅ =-32% Price of commodities reduced by 32%. This is what people will feel on the streets.. The Compounded reduced effects✅ |
