Honestly i don't see this hype of GTCO bank when compared with Zenith Bank. I have always rated both banks at par level. Hence, i acquired more of Zenith bank. From past history however, Zenith had always paid better dividend than GTCO (except 2024 financial year) but, the share price of GTCO is always higher than Zenith Bank. I believe very soon the price of Zenith will play catch-up with GTCO and so will one day the price of Access bank will surpass that of UBA. Go and write this down somewhere. cool cool cool
We are not writing anything down
As long as the ROE of Zenith is much less than that of GT so shall you pay a premium for GT and UBA grin cheesy grin

Hmmmmm. That is a long time to wait o. That is waiting for another one month before releasing this result. Well, provided they made it worth my while by paying a reasonable interim dividend (not like the one paid by Elumelu). This bank for once should let the investment community know that they are still topping the chart as par assets, grin grin grin

Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by ositadima1(m): 12:31pm On Sep 23, 2025
Why the uproar about GTCO’s interim dividend? The company already paid ₦7 earlier and has now added ₦1, making it ₦8 for 2025. This reaction is all sentiment. What if they had paid ₦6 earlier—still higher than Zenith Bank’s ₦4—and then ₦2 now? You would have been celebrating, even though the total remains the same ₦8. grin

According to my dividend discount valuation, GTCO should be at a minimum of ₦112. Just wait for the emotional sellers to push it down a bit, then enter. As long as they can maintain this ₦8 dividend—hopefully even increase it next year—the outlook remains strong. lipsrsealed

It’s not just about the poor interim dividend. There was a massive drop in EPS and in comparison with Zenith’s Q2 results, GT might look overpriced so I suspect some sell-off from GT to key into Zenith. A company is only as good as its recent result, so it’s fair business then.

The downside is:
They are paying against old OS unlike Zenith.
The upside is: they are paying from their profit unlike Zenith paying from reserve if ayam not mistaken.

Gt has been the biggest disappointment. with all the noise they made that they had no forbearance loan and they will pay dividend, this is the nonsense they want to pay

I honestly don’t put much weight on all these EPS figures for banks and financial services, especially when it comes to unaudited results. For banks, dividends are my primary valuation method. Unless there is clear evidence that GTCO won’t pay up to ₦8 next year, I still see ₦112 as fair value.

From the current statement, I also noted that last year GTCO benefited from over ₦600 billion (if I’m not mistaken), most of which came from FX gains—something that hasn’t shown up as strongly this year. So, you’re free to drop the stock as much as you want; that only sets us up for a nice 40–60% gain. lipsrsealed

Don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying GT’s result is bad. Just implying that on face value, more people might see greater value in Zenith over GT at their current share prices. This opinion isn’t necessarily true though.

Your bonus is tradeable anytime.......in as much as it's sitting in your CSCS account.

If they didn't answer you by adding it to your trading portfolio, just go ahead and sell the quantity available (or any quantity you wish to sell from the available qty) in your CSCS statement anytime you wish to sell.....
Sell from your trading platform.
