GeneralDae:Although if debt maturities get settled and cause and dip in the gross reserves, the net reserves might still actually grow which would be a good thing. |

mygee2:I use Morgan Capital because their fees are lower and their platform makes active trading smooth. If you don't care about those, then you might opt for Investment One. |

guyzgirl:The price will come down. Except the MM have enough cash to defend the price. Dividend investors will choose stanbic or zenith over gtco. |

mygee2:Never you compare investment one with Morgan Capital again. LED TV and LCD TV energy consumption are not same.one is low in power consumption while the other is high.Go for LED ooooo. Be rest assured you will make huge savings with Morgan Capital and Atlas portfolios than when using investment one. Investment one is LCD with very high brokerage fees and will also restrict you from making huge profit by frustrating your orders not to be executed and disallowing you to trade volumes. I am telling you the truth from practical experience.Run oooo Save yourself stress and use Morgan Capital if it is mandatory to choose from the two you mentioned. |

Good day everyone I bought some presco shares because of the hype. But the share has literally not moved up or down since I got it. I have 2 questions: 1. Is this an issue with the stockbroking app I'm using? 2. Should I keep the stock, it's a little under 100k and I tried studying the financial reports and they look okay to my untrained eye |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jonnysessy(m): 3:49am On Sep 24, 2025 |
Tobedated:You have made a great choice by buying into Presco. Agricultural sector is the order of the day, or do I say palm oil business. With this your recent purchase you are automatically qualified for an interim dividend that will be paid in the month of November. To your first question, nothing is wrong with the Stockbroker app you used in buying it. The share price of Presco doesn't move like that. It take a 100,000 units to move a share price. Remember, the Outstanding Shares of Presco can't be compared with banks. More so, many that are holding Presco knows that they are holding goldmine. Hence, they don't like trading it. With a stock like Presco you are sure of your capital preservation and also yearly dividend. Share appreciation might come when there is news in the market. But, don't expect daily movements in share price of Presco. To your second question. I don't seem to get that very clearly. Do you mean that you have about 100,000 unit or that you invested about N100,000 in the shares. If it is the first, then you are a big time investor. This is because a unit of Presco goes for about N1350 in the market, though officially N1480. This was because of quantity to move the price is not available. Hence keep your Shares. If you meant that you also invested N100,000 in Presco, that is also good. It means you have fewer number of shares. I call that starting from a humble beginning. You can be topping it up gradually. The good thing is that you are already a shareholder in the company. You can be increasing your stakes. Their financial report is in green. They have been making good profit over the years. In fact, if you check the progression from five years reports, you will see that you made a great choice ( Presco should reward me as I am singing their praise )Lesson learnt: Buying a fundamental company is gain anyday. Quantity bought is immaterial as you can gradually increase your stakes over time. The more you plant, the more you reap. Capital is key to investment. |

leo1234:Based on the results I can buy it but what u mentioned initially was the dividend. On another note I have stopped buying anything banking stocks because the sector is over regulated/ interference not minding the outcome to shareholders. The sector is now more of government business. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by unite4real: 7:42am On Sep 24, 2025 |
jonnysessy:Buying PRESCO now does not automatically qualify him for the interim dividend to be paid in November because the qualification date is November 7. He cannot only qualify if he holds the asset as of this date |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 7:45am On Sep 24, 2025 |
Tobedated:like seriously.who hyped it for u to buy.Since nobody is hyping it again.u can decide to sell oh |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by jonnysessy(m): 8:39am On Sep 24, 2025 |
unite4real:You are only contradicting yourself. The guy said he had already bought the Presco and was contemplating of selling as the price is not appreciating. Provided the qualification date has not reached, anyone buying now qualifies for the interim dividend. Even if you buy a day to the qualification date, you are still good to go. ![]() |

jonnysessy:are you for real or catching cruise? If qualification date is November 7th and you sell it before that date, you WILL NOT QUALIIFY FOR THE DIVIDEND. You can only qualify if you hold it passed that day (November 7th). If you like buy a day to qualification date and sell it same day, you still will not qualify. Just ensure you are on the register by the price marked down date which is November 8. Everyone who held it by close of business on November 7th are the qualifiers |

chigozie69:Cheque for the qualifying date and the date you bought the shares. You must have bought the shares atleast 3 days before the qualifying date, to be qualified to received the dividend And follow up on Nairametrics https://nairametrics.com/2025/09/20/zenith-banks-gross-earnings-hit-n2-5-trillion-in-h1-2025-declares-n1-25-interim-dividend/ |

unite4real:This is mis-communication. We are saying the same thing. Buy Presco and hold until qualification to benefit from the interim dividend. If you sell before qualification date you will lose out of the interim dividend. |
