I pity Anioma people if they allow themselves to be railroaded into this falsehood of being Igbo. There is no Igbo outside of the SE. The Igbos via ipob have made their land unsafe and are looking to expand into other people’s lands, especially the SS.
Their politicians recently floated the indigeneship bill, and the rest of Nigeria rejected it.

It baffles me how you a Yoruba would claim Lagos, a place with a name that is has no origin in Yoruba language of any dialet yet you have problem with an ethinic group identifying with igbos which is the ethinic group where even their name 'anioma' has its origin.

If double standard has ethnicity it would be a Yoruba.

Ned Nwoko as a historian dug into the archives and explained that the Anioma people used to be brutal warriors who defended their fellow Igbos until the British started carrying out a genocide against women and children and anyone who identified as 'ibo' in revenge since their men engaged in Guerilla warfare and couldn't be found by British forces whom they were killing in the war. For survival they started denying their Igboness.
After it seemed like they have recovered the Nigeria civil war started and Nigeria forces applied the same British extermination strategy, for survival the people had to deny their Igboness again or they will be massacred by troops led by General Murtala Mohammed and Captain Taiwo who carried out the Asaba massacre of Igbo men.
This is why they removed history from our schools because of Igbos

Anioma is Igbo. Even the word is anioma is an Igbo word. Many other places in Delta has Igbo names. In fact Delta knows that some of them are igbos. There is even a language called Delta Igbo in delta state. They have Onitsha ugbo, isele ukwu, ogwashiukwu, etc. All these names are of Igbo origin. So face Yoruba matters for your mental health.
