When they come and scatter the ngx without proper thought out policy. They will start to use what they created as yard stick as measurement for Improvement. How can that guy in suit come to ngx to say rubbish like, CGT will be calculated using price as old as ngx as cost. And the target is big players. When big players start vacating the market now. They will say it is pdp yrs of mismanagement. That is the right thing to have been done since nigeria independence |

mikeapollo:I doubt you can have 2 TIN bearing same names. Even if it is possible, you won't be able to transfer your shares to another broker or CHN using different TIN. It is just like your stock trading account. You will only be able to with draw to an account number bearing your name with same BVN, not different |

Streetinvestor2:LOL, that bond situation is crazy if you think about it. You’re issuing bonds in a foreign currency, which means you can’t even print money to solve the problem—unlike the USA, which can always print dollars to offset its debts. And honestly, I’ve never seen the USA issue bonds denominated in naira. |

Streetinvestor2:Good morning Sir, I thought you said CGT is Good for you and your fellow LONG TERM BAG HOLDERS while it will make we BARGAIN HUNTERS leave the MARKET. For your information CGT is actually a BLESSING in DISGUISE for SMART TRADERS & BARGAIN HUNTERS. BARGAIN HUNTERS will actually leave the Market for LONG TERM BAG HOLDERS and COMEBACK CHERRY PICK at BARGAIN PRICES after they have SUCCEEDED in SCATTERING the NGX with their yeye CGT policy ![]() BARGAIN HUNTERS TAKE NOTE!

Today's market is just too dull. We are almost at the end of the month and also almost at the last day of the Q3, yet there was no significant changes in the market. I was expecting reshuffling of portfolios and end of month window dressing. But, can't see any of these. Maybe, by tomorrow the market will live up to expectation. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 3:24pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
jonnysessy:The CGT confusion is also contributing to the dull moments in the market....until companies start releasing positive results |

PETERiCHY:U are a joker if u think the CGT will affect long time investors like me.They will never see shishi from me till they leave. They will collect from jijo people like u.They can only create bearish market which I will use to add to my winning stocks. Then I will wait for them to get out by 2027 for responsible government to come. I was only concerned for the market but not that it will cause me any loss. U make loss only when u sell as long as my fundamental sound companies don't close shop.I will be collecting my dividend. I repeat they will never see shishi as CGT from me |

For some us that average up. Eg I have 1million of Ellak bought in 5 tranches of 200k units each At N4, N4.50k, N6, N7 and N7.60k. Assuming I sold all the 1 million units once at at a price of N10. Will they calculate the CGT on per tranches basis in order to arrive at the tax payable? |

Agbalowomeri:What about investors with up to 5 stockbroking accounts. Making profits of N8 million each on the 5 Stockbroking accounts. That should be a total profit of N40 million. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 4:21pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
You can trade N30 million on each on the 5 Stockbroking accounts. Making a total of N150 million Will that trigger CGT? |

Agbalowomeri:With all this cgt wahala, I wouldn't be surprised if the implementation is postponed. Ngx group wouldn't open there eyes n let unclear policy cause kasala for their sources of income. |

NGN broke the 1480 resistance today closing at 1476.35. We await strengthening below the 1450 level in the coming days. Q4 is shaping up to be sweet! |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Streetinvestor2: 4:57pm On Sep 29, 2025 |
Lofty1000:People have more than 1 CHN.Infact I have 3 because as I opened account with different stockbroker. I didn't know u could supply them the existing one with a different broker. They never asked and went ahead to open the accounts. This why I didn't subscribe to cscs services because I cannot monitor the different account in that platform if I subscribe |

Dont mind them. Let them be playing game with everything. As if no one go school but them. I was still discussing with someone yesterday. Saying, in reality, states are not receiving much allocation now as many believe. Just use dollars for your benchmark and the difference will be clear. We will still convert the many naira to few dollars to get our road fixed, to get cards, clothes, even food. mikeapollo: |
