Wisdommyth:1. Do you have an assessment from any of Immigrations authorized professional body for Construction Project manager? 2. If you want to assess your degree for Construction Project manager, best to check with VETASSESS and pay the fee as required. 3. If you have close to, and more than 90 points on Civil engineering, why bother? the last invitation round was 90 points for Civil Engineer. My humble 2 cents. |

blackbriar:I have already started my skill assessment with vetasses. Civil Engineering degree is actually considered as one of the most relevant and closely related degree required for construction project management skill assessment with vetasses. I think I have a better chance with construction project management and it also closely aligns with my experience. I was just worried if I could change skill assessment after lodging an expression of interest. Note: I didn’t assess my previous civil engineering experience, I only did skill assessment for degree with Engineers Australia |

Please I need advice on how to approach Australia PR. I have a BSc in Accounting. 29yrs old and Single. Professional certifications: ACA(by ICAN) and CIMA (Global certificate). I have over 5 years of experience in accounting and base on what I do in the last 3 years, I’m equally qualified and skilled as a business/Data Analyst. What are my chances? |

I’ve gone through page 0 of the thread. For myself I could go for assessing with AITSL as I think I have required qualifications Bsc Ed computer science had teachers training practice which was assessed and 1year + experience in a primary school setting I plan to take the IELTS exam soonest Alternatively; My husband could possibly assess under film and video editor ANZSCO Code: 212314 He has years of experience and a MSc in digital media How best can I proceed from here? |

Hi everyone, Please I need clarification. For a spouse (secondary applicant) in a 491 Australian visa application — has anyone here successfully used a letter from their Nigerian university (stating that all instruction was in English) as proof of functional English? Was the letter alone accepted, or did immigration ask for extra documents / IELTS? Thank you 🙏 |

Salientsinmi:You can assess however nomination may be an issue because it's tough to be nominated for that occupation due to the competition |

MrsHay:Letter alone does not work. You must include transcript and certificate. If you have those 3, then it will be accepted |

tunlex01:I am considering Real estate representatives because that’s the only skills that fits my Job description. But will I be able to get a Job related to this field. |

tunlex01:Thanks for the swift response. However I need further clarification, I know the owner of the pharmacy, he registered it under a group of companies with the pharmacy being one of his businesses. Regarding the evidence I have payslips and bank statements from last year to date. However I am claiming 5 years work experience. The pharmacy is small hence I will ask regarding the tax receipt |

omooladi:Sadly you are not eligible. TASUED is a tier 2 university and your 4 year degree is considered an Associate degree (level 6) and not up to a Bachelor degree (level 7). Your only option is to have a PGDE (level 7) that has teaching practice. For your spouse, LASU 4 year course is also a level 6 not 7. Video Editor occupation requires a level 7 degree. Since he has a masters, that will fly however he must have at least 1-2 years post-Masters experience. |
| Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 4:38pm On Sep 26, 2025 |
mfduncan:RER is fine if you have your documents to prove the experience. Your accounting degree will fly however Vetassess may deduct at lease years from your years of experience |
| Re: DIY Guide To Australian Permanent Resident Visa - Part 2 by tunlex01(m): 4:39pm On Sep 26, 2025 |
modash:okay. Please note that in recent time, just bank statement and payslips are not enough anymore for DHA. |

leon12:Sure, it could be baffling. Engineers Australia evaluates you on 2 things: 1. Your eligiblty to referred to as a Professional Engineer. 2. Your Relevant work experience as a Professional Engineer. It seems you have gotten item 1.) but did not get item 2.) due to lack of documentation. This will not affect your job hunting in Australia. This will only affect your points and hence the ability for you to get invited quickly to apply for the visa. My humble advice, get the documents Engineers Australia is requestign for and re-submit for relevant working expreience evaluation and recognition. My Humbe 2 cents. |

I received a negative VETASSESS outcome for Health Promotion Officer (ANZSCO 251911) because my degree was assessed as not having sufficient public health courses. I am now considering a reassessment with a change of occupation to Health Diagnostic and Promotion Professionals nec (ANZSCO 251999), since my job duties align more closely with this occupation and my bachelor degree is listed as one of the qualifications considered suitable. My concern is about the Statements of Service I previously submitted. Can I resubmit the same ones (perhaps with slight modifications) under the new nomination as ‘updated statement’? or just reapply without submitting any. The confusion is because the old and new occupation have some similarities. The VETASSESS website mentions that for a change of occupation, applicants can provide additional employment details and qualifications, but it also says the original application cannot be altered. I appreciate every response. |

Timi3272:Sorry about that! HPO requires a degree iin Public Health or related field. 251999 is also a Group A occupation. So to avoid another negative, what qualification(s) did you submit and which uni? |

I think you can resubmit another statement of service My brother receive negative assessment from Vetassess, they advise him that his job description did not match the occupation he selected, that his job description is majorly customer focused. He chose another occupation and submitted new statement of service and nominate Service manager, he got positive assessment. The first occupation he chose was Corporate/ Business service manager, but later change to service manager /Customer service manager. Timi3272: |
