What I recommended are areas you can quickly make good one. If the person isn't good with studying like you asked, then, second or third grade in value skill will be what the person can acquire.

I can't think of the following:
1. Gardening: learn vegetable production (tomato, pepper, habanero, cucumber, etc).
2. Any skill that one can make money with.

The disadvantage here is learning from Nigerians who will take advantage of the fellow. It is why I recommended self study skills. But if the fellow can find a very honest person who can teach him/her cucumber first, and then tomato or pepper production after, it is very possible to breakthrough within 1 year. N500k is enough sef. The person should just keep N1.5m, and not touch it immediately.

But to find a very honest person is the main wahala. Dem go just use his/her N2m do "testing testing" here and there.

Recommendation
I strong believe that N2m is nothing much, but can do something one has mastered so as to know how to manage the scarce resources the cash can get. This is the reason I feel skill acquiring is the best. Even one is going into physical commodities trading, the fellow should learn it very well before embarking on the journey. If the person can find anyhow who can put him through to anything lucrative, it's fine. But mastering such thing is needed. Do not invest the money with someine else. This is my point.

Great but one must keep trying to get reliable person.
There are so many people that I have sent money online to purchase an item and I didn’t not know them from Adam, either we meet here on nairaland, fb, or WhatsApp group. Some scammed me, some didn’t. It’s just that in life, one needs to keep trying but if you want to try, don’t do something that will affect you psychologically if it goes wrong. Try small small

How you can identify such places is by asking questions.

A company I know of here in CRS do the storage and selling and return your capital and profit to you at the end of the year, then you can choose to either reinvest or stop.
That is, buying in February and selling in the ember period.

In fact someone I met here on nairaland but now a friend want to buy a good from china, it worth 13m.

From what you wrote..you said you are expecting a good of 10k pieces worth 500k naira...that is 50 naira per pieces, even if you sell it at 100 naira per pieces, that is like 1m naira.

I am guessing they are shoes and shoes is not a high volume business, it will take you 3 to 6 months to sell everything and make 1m naira.

That example given is not the only thing you can import, I did that base on my financial cap.
Then, the item isn’t shoes.
Their are tons of items that can be imported, till something almost everyone in Nigeria buys monthly , so, 6 months is too much.
