So, I got this new girl I started dating lately, and I am also considering settling down with. Things have been going on smoothly between us since we started. However, few days ago, I overheard her on the phone telling her married younger sister not to allow her husband to purchase a property in his name. She advised her to "press his mumu button" and convince him to purchase the property in her name or in their daughter's name.

Ever since, I kept wandering what kind of a person would advise her sister as such. So, I thought I should bring it up here.

1. Was she right to give her sister such advice?

2. Is this a red flag for me?

To me it is a red flag but not red enough to end the relationship with her. Meanwhile stop sharing your future with her while monitoring her closely.

My take is, even women who acted good and nice at the beginning of relationship still fail woefully with time, how much more one that committed such a great flaw at the very beginning. For your own safety bruh, no listen to any man wey ask you to chill and not be bothered cos you have no idea what the full story is btw the husband and wife.. under no circumstance should any woman decoy a deadly tactic just to gain advantage of her partner's sweat. Even our forefathers, after many years of enjoying true love, care and great partnership with their wives still acquired properties in their own names.. na the man family still own whatever a man owns.

You should be vigilant, it's not a red flag. People usually don't practice what they preach... Take it as privileged information and know when she wants to press your own mumu button. If your girl contribute to buying a property with you, pls acknowledge her, it's just the basics.
