https://www.thisdaylive.com/2025/10/03/capital-market-operators-seek-review-of-proposed-30-capital-gains-tax-to-25/ Mukuru added, “The chairman recently recognised that it looks ‘unfair’ to use the purchase price at the time of acquisition as the reference cost, even if the shares were bought several years ago. “If you recognise that this is unfair, particularly for investors who bought the shares over the past 10 years, then why not offer an exemption period and start all of this on the implementation date (1 January 2026)?" |

megawealth01:It already does. I bought Pulpy for 1250 - 1450 last year, Today it's 800. I take about 30 bottles a month, that's already a savings of almost 20k per month for me. Same with malt. From 630 to now 500. And lots of other items as well.

| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Heishere: 11:04am On Oct 03, 2025 |
awesomeJ:You omitted the catalyst in your trajectory analysis. The reserve was falling because oil price and production volume was falling. You are touting higher reserve now because oil price has been relatively stable. The reserve will crash if oil price crashes until it is decoupled from oil, which by the way a substantial amount was pledged for a loan that we did not get value for. I am not seeing any strategic investment from the current government to keep the naira afloat. |

emmanuelewumi:Alhaji about to give them the final knock out.If he succeed in bringing 10,000 trucks. Those NUPENG drivers will see nothing to carry. The drivers go begin drop thr trucks and move over to Alhaji side. Fuel stations guys will prefer to buy cheaper and free delivery fuel to thr stations. It is finished for them.Imagine if Alhaji uses MRS as proxy to acquire like total stations...lol |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by chimex38: 11:26am On Oct 03, 2025 |
emmanuelewumi:Real lamentations. Association and unions start with a few and grow from there. Personal relationship with anyone is inconsequential as long as MRS is a distinct registered company. It's truck drivers are free to join or create their association. Other independent fuel stations and marketers are willing to join or not if they so choose. No one has monopoly of unionism or association either in our constitution. Afterall ASUU existed for years before CONUA came into existence 3yrs ago and FG approved of them. APC also came in to power through their factions and by mergers ![]() |

Streetinvestor2:Actually planning to buy filling stations in West African countries. With the coming of BUA refinery, Nigeria will become a net exporter of refined petroleum products thereby earning forex for the country. This is what government owned NNPC could not due, yet PENGASSAN does not want privatization of NNPC. |
