A couple of stocks I'd be watching closely in this week's trading session on the NGX.

You don't seem to get the drift.

Directors of publicly listed companies are image makers of the company.
Their actions (especially financial) are seen as a reflection of the company... smiley

Is the said property bought in the name/account of the bank or in his own personal account?

I never trusted the business model of that bank.

Bovis:
While it may be seen as an ego-driven move, this is ultimately a reckless investment and damaging publicity for Access Bank UK

Many of these London mansions have remained unoccupied since the UK government began seizing properties owned by Russian billionaires, alleging ties to President Putin

Consider what £15 million could achieve in a struggling UK economy—it could help provide mortgages for over 50,000 Nigerian families living in the UK

A large Hilton Hotel in Peterborough is currently listed for £11.9 million. Acquiring such a property could create hundreds of jobs for Nigerians and generate substantial profits for the bank

It’s likely that the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority will investigate this transaction thoroughly, and they may determine that it was funded through illicit means.

If ARADEL is that price some people think that OANDO wont sell above 100. I just dey laugh sha grin
But Aradel also has a working refinery and pays very good dividends. Oando need to pay dividends to come close.

One funny fact: Do you know that the founder of Aradel (Chief Aret Adams) did not live to see it's current glory.

May our investments mature in our lifetime.

Which type of stocks? Nigeria or Global stocks.

For Nigeria sticks better to go with main Stockbrokers: Bamboo/Trove and others are sub-brokers whether for local or Global stocks.

For Nigeria stocks, Morgan Capital is okay. Experience with the platform is 100% positive on my side. Another one I use is United Capital, trading platform is just same as Morgan's and I will say they are good too.

If it is platform for Global stocks, most Nigeria APPs are bearly manageable. But for more info on this check the US stock Market forum: https://www.nairaland.com/5669161/us-stocks-pick-alert/468
Many thanks for the recommendation. Yes it's for local stocks only.

Nigerian savings accounts also earn interest at 30% of MPR, provided withdrawals do not exceed a certain number of times in a month.

There in nothing to ever trust in the business model of a bank founded in fraud, thievery albeit with it's take over of another bank to which it was previously indebted.

We will never forget that....

There are no charges on a savings account. Checking/current account is what has account maintenance charges of 1 per mille on withdrawals. And even that is negotiable if you have large transactions.

He said the part of that constitutes the contribution to the check off dues, not the total salaries. I'd give an example so you understand that they dont mean the same thing (not real figures):
1. Dangote Worker: Salary - 80k, Cumulative benefit - 140k (check off dues = 20% of salary = 16k)
2. O&G worker: Salary - 200k, Cumulative benefit - 70k (check off dues =20% of salary = 40k)

In this example, check of dues of one O&G worker is more than twice of Dangote Worker. However total pay of Dangote worker is 220k while O&G worker is 270k (a mere 50k difference)
Your example is valid. Only that you used 2.5x and assumed Dangote pays 2x in benefits. Both of these are massively wrong and flawed

The reality according to the man is that a pengassan member in Dangote pays 10k in checkoff dues, and his colleague in an IOC pays 400k meaning if checkoff dues are 2.5%,
The guy in Dangote has a 400k salary while his colleague has N16m

For benefits, the reality is that the IOCs are more likely to even pay much higher benefits than Dangote.

For instance, back in the days, if your dad worked in Exxon Mobil, there were special world class schools built for you kids to attend.

You think Dangote offers that?

The only thing that can make your points valid is if that ratio isn't actually as bad as 40x otherwise all this numbers you're writing are theories born out of illusion.

I mean, it's more convenient to leave it like that. If investors like make them no check for public holidays. If NGX says "no access", then everyone should get it by fire by force.

The developers tried though. The issue with public holidays can be overlooked, whether or not they implemented it.
Yes sir.

Except if we have data broker APIs that they can integrate into to automate this. I think players like Mono should consider adding such services.

So far, no one has provided a logical argument ad to WHY the access bank ceo cannot buy the property in Britain

It's all emotional responses left and right
Oww, the money would have done XYZ in Nigeria

Or
Bankers are MEANT to be "conservative"
As if all these city of London bankers splurging money in Hammersmith and other areas of west and central London are aliens from space lol.

As long as the money is not stolen money, he is no position to explain to anyone what he does with his money

Let’s get it straight sir.,
From Dangote and what we know now… They weren’t sacked because they joined union… infact, Dangote ascended to a freewill MOU to join union.

What we should be talking about now is the content of the whatsapp. Maybe not necessary anymore, but time will tell.
The whatsapp thing is a lie. It's just another attempt to hand the saboteur label on the pro-Union staff.
