Dangote: Nigeria greater than PENGASSAN – FG

https://www.vanguardngr.com/2025/10/dangote-nigeria-greater-than-pengassan-shettima/

The government should compensate the Dangote Refinery for its loses due to this PENGASSAN strike. Another person would have gone to court.

https://www.thecable.ng/exclusive-pengassan-dissolves-branch-leadership-over-failure-to-shut-down-gas-supply-to-dangote-refinery/

"The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) has dissolved the branch executive councils of the Nigeria Gas Infrastructure Company Ltd (NGIC) and the NNPC Gas Marketing Limited (NGML).

The dissolution followed the “inability” of the executives to completely shut down gas supply to Dangote refinery during the association’s strike."

Hi @essentialone, no vex!
On a second look, I think the issue is coming from how the table vertical scroll bar behaves on some devices, which might be hiding part of the stock list. Please don't give up just yet...will patch it up after trading session closes so that everything shows smoothly.
Appreciate you keeping us on our toes 💪 we go sort am sharperly and update you once it's resolved.
Thanks a lot.

Guys, didn't read all the fine prints, when will the shares from the Chams rights issue be available on my platform....??
Update...Seen...guys hope this is accurate!
Typical Total Timeline
From announcement to trading: about 4–6 weeks
2–4 weeks: subscription period
1–2 weeks: allotment and crediting
1–3 days: shares start trading
Its important to know your timelines so that you can plan ahead..for instance, i think we will hit a low ~2.4 around sep 1st week for wave a then potentiallly 3.2 region in oct 2nd week;...depending on the structure, the asset can retest that 2.4 low again and even break it before the real really starts ...so do the maths
someone asked whether to enter with RI or wait and purchase lower...there is no way that the ri will not put you ahead in the mid to long term....

Oga please don't mind these people. They will never give you any figures to back what they say about the Dangote Refinery. I have noticed a trend here and elsewhere that the next line of campaign against the refinery by its enemies is to discredit it as a viable employer. This is after they have failed using the unions against it.

Using the union strike card has been disastrous for them. They only succeeded in exposing the scale of evil going on in the oil sector unions and the import and distribution cabals. This has turned public opinion against them. The brief fuel scarcity and return of fuel lines at the petrol stations due to the strike showed people how quickly the bad old days can return without the Dangote Refinery. This has endeared the refinery in the minds of the people. Even worse for the unions is the trigger for the formation of new factions which will breakup the unions and which was created due to the controversial strike action.

Their next strategy of discrediting the refinery as a good employer will also fail in the eyes of intelligent thinking people. Any employer who can sack 800 employees overnight knows that he can replace them with no trouble. That is an employer that people are looking to work for.

Like i wrote in my submission, my example was just to clarify between % of salary and % of all pay which was not clarified in the original post.

Please send me a DM of someone you know in the O&G industry (new entrant earning 16m as compared with Dangote new entrant of 400k). I will like to be his/her friend, e get why. Abeg no vex.

It's worrisome seeing how Dangote has employed heärtlėss laptop boys to defend his actions all over social media.

Before you take the word of any faceless person on the internet as truth and people centred, ask the person to mention how many years they have worked under any Nigerian employer and if they would continue such job for the next 10 years or prefer a work visa to Canada to go do the same job.

Their response will reveal their agenda - propaganda agents for Dangote and other wicked capitalists who don't mind énslaving every Nigerian so long they keep topping or getting mentions on Forbes billionaires list

He should bring all his money and share to the workers cos they built him the refinery.
If only you guys used this energy to struggle for a better minimum wage (other than N70k) all these arguments would not have arisen.
The abroad you talk of, na minimum wage them dey earn their. You guys should leave dangote alone. The workers knew the pay, but insisted on the work. Even after the sack with continuous pay, they still insist on the job.

Its unfair comparing Dang refinery with Oil exploration/mining companies.
Dang refinery buys oil(sometimes in dollars) refines and sell. The oil mining companies just draw the oil from the ground and sell.
Their operations are different so also their turnover. Compare them.with other refineries.

@emmanuelewumi
Kindly note the bolded about December deadline for payment. If there is/are no private investor(s) on ground, would Ellah lakes be talking about December? Just processing the facts

Ellah Lakes Plc has entered into an agreement for the acquisition of shareholding of Agro-Allied Resources & Processing Nigeria Limited (ARPN) from ARPN PTE Limited, Singapore (ARPN PTE).

This move is in line with Ellah Lakes Plc strategy to deepen its operational footprint, scale efficiencies, and drive national food security impact.

The transaction will involve the acquisition of 100 percent shareholding of ARPN, and its closing is targeted for December 2025, subject to satisfaction of all conditions precedent.
I believe we are witnessing NGX's first SPAC

A Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) is a shell company created solely to raise capital from investors to acquire or merge with an existing private company, effectively taking it public without a traditional Initial Public Offering (IPO). These "blank check" companies have no commercial operations of their own, existing only as a vehicle to find and merge with a target private company.
How SPACs Work

Formation:
A SPAC is formed by investors, known as sponsors, with no predetermined acquisition target.

IPO:
The SPAC then raises money through a public offering, listing its shares on a stock exchange.
Acquisition:
With the capital raised, the SPAC searches for a private company to acquire or merge with.
Going Public:
Once a target is identified and the deal is approved, the private company merges with the SPAC and becomes publicly traded, using the SPAC's existing public listing.

Key Characteristics

Shell Company: A SPAC is a "shell" with no assets other than the cash from its IPO.

Blank Check: Investors place their trust in the management team's expertise to find a suitable target.
Alternative to IPO: SPACs offer a faster route for private companies to become publicly traded compared to the complex IPO process.

Risks and Considerations

Less Transparency: The process can be less transparent than a traditional IPO.
Speculative Nature: SPACs can be highly speculative, and investors have lost money on some of them.

Have you worked in any Nigerian company? If yes, for how long?

If you had the choice to continue working for the Nigerian company or travel to Canada to work in a similar role for the next ten years, which will you prefer and why?

These are straightforward questions. If you quote me without answering them I'll block you cos I'll believe you are just another uninformed propaganda tool.

They say LASACO has too much OS abi float.
