HesInMe:VFD own subsidiaries that are generating recurring revenues and profits. For example, they own VFD Micro finance. This company/ business is similar to NPF Microfinance bank. Recurring revenue and profits will be similar, depending on their differentiation, geographical focus and market share. Also, they own Achoria capital group (Asset management, securities, advisory services). This business is similar to UCAP. Similar trend in recurring revenue and profits. UCAP is way bigger, with higher market share. These revenues and profits couple with other subsidiaries’ will define their recurring revenue and profits. |

nosa2:At least they owned about 3 mining companies by acquisitions when gold prices were below $1,000. They should make the refinery things quicker. Their reserves worth multi billions of naira if converted to naira. |

WHAT WE NEED TO KNOW ABOUT JAPAUL According to Japaul’s own investor information and recent news, their gold fields include: Asa Village, Iperindo in Osun State — notably near the Segilola gold operations. Arufu in Niger State Magama in Niger State They say they have 5 gold mines in Nigeria and hold exploration licenses / mining leases across various states. They have engaged in exploration / drilling campaigns in several states: Osun, Benue, Niger, Taraba. Some sites are more advanced than others; some are still in exploration or drilling phase rather than active gold production. Japaul is also involved in sand mining / land reclamation at Gracefield Island, Lagos (Lekki area). This is a different kind of mining (sand) to support a real estate / reclamation project. They have plans to build a gold-processing plant and develop the needed infrastructure to support gold production. |

I admire your enthusiasm about the company. It is not shared. By recurring earnings, I mean monie-for-hand, predictable earnings. Like the ones Nestle makes when you buy Nido. UCAP is a good comparator, but at least UCAP makes roughly 50% of its revenue from brokerage fees and commissions, the rest from investments. Risky, but waaay better than VFD, which earns less than 5% as fee income. I'm sure VFD will be fine in bull markets. A rising tide lifts all the canoes. But when things go south, unless you have Gospel-like faith in management, look out below. courage89: |

Buy Recommendation: Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc (JAPAULGOLD) Strong Buy. At current levels (~2.63 NGN), Japaul represents undervalued entry into the gold mining surge, with room to close the performance gap to global peers. Japaul Gold’s Lagging Potential in Nigeria: As the sole publicly listed gold mining company on the NGX, Japaul Gold & Ventures Plc offers unique local exposure but has underperformed its global peers with just 41.1% YTD appreciation (closing at 2.63 NGN as of Oct 09, 2025). Trading at a fraction of its July 2025 all-time high of 3.66 NGN, Japaul benefits from over 300 sq km of gold exploration licenses across Nigeria and recent profitability (H1 2025 net income positive at ~1.70B NGN), yet it hasn’t fully capitalized on the sector tailwinds. Key Take On ::: Asante Gold Corporation. Stock Symbol :: ASE (Canada Stock Exchange) is a Vancouver-based gold company operating in Ghana, Africa’s top gold producer. Founded in 2011, it focuses on the Bibiani and Ashanti Gold Belts.

Streetinvestor2:Just because there is no logical reason to buy Japaul does not mean the stock cannot do 5x. I never saw and still haven't seen a logical reason to buy Bitcoin but look at what bitcoin has done. and I have known about bitcoin since 2013 Markets are often driven by emotions not logic. Given the hype around gold I am willing to make a theoretical bet that Japaul will probably do 2x very soon. However this 2x is something I will happily miss out on personally. |

I believe this sudden aggressive marketing and hype for japaul is going on because they have loaded it heavily. But the thing no gree rally up instead the thing wan nosedive ![]() So them feel aggressive marketing will help prevent the thing from crashing in the short term. Some fit still dey use am do jijo. It looks like a planned collabo. Even if you want to market a stock, all these multiple repetition of post is not necessary. They're begining to sound like a broken record. |
