awesomeJ:Not really bro True it helps no one especially borrowers. We are getting to the time where rates will be near single digits |

mikeapollo:Why did you feel the need to add the lecture to my post? I reckon you would know I don't need it?? Anyways, in the post you quoted I was saying that even beyond the disinflation NBS is reporting, I am actually experiencing deflation. I can list more than 10 everyday items that I pay much less for today vs this time last year. |

Odunharry:Yes sir. The government can save up to N7trn in debt servicing if rates moderate. CBN too can save another N5- 10 trn in OMO bills costs |

Agbalowomeri:You got me wrong. There was an earlier post (by someone), to the effect that he has not witnessed any price reduction in the market, hence the lower inflation figures were fake or wrong, hence my comment Basically, I don't have a problem if the govt genuinely works hard to reduce inflation because I would benefit from it, and I will praise them. What I don't support is frequent rebasing of macroeconomic indices (in only 2 years) in order to paint a misleading, deceitful impression or picture of the reality on ground. The govt itself is struggling to convince Nigerians that things are okay or better. Who am I to ''gbemu''? I am not even strong enough to collect from those who have not, like someone I know on NL. ![]() |

awesomeJ:My sincere apologies, if a harmless quote of a comment in a faceless forum does any harm or injury to you. My bad. And congrats for the deflation you are currently enjoying compared to last year. It is awesome. I now understand why some people are always feeling ''awesome'', even if a loaf of bread that was selling for N800 in 2023 now goes for N2,000 in 2025! It is well. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 10:44am On Oct 16, 2025 |
mikeapollo:I never said your quoting did harm or injury. All I said was that it was irrelevant to my post which you quoted. It's like you thinking John needs a lecture about disinflation, and instead of directing your lecture to John, you left John and directed it at Peter. Peter can raise objections, it's not a big deal. For your last paragraph, the inflation reported isn't vs 2023, it's vs 2024, why do you prefer unnecessary complications. Maybe try to grab a can of chilled malt from a store (not greedy retailers), you'll also witness the deflation in price. Or if you remember how much it cost to fill your car's tank about this time last year you'd realize it's almost 20k cheaper today. or if you eat rice, etc |

With the way inflation numbers are going, expect lower rates everywhere across all fixed income-related investment windows, but DON'T STOP INVESTING, you can only change strategy, don't stop if you still want to win in this investment game |

awesomeJ:Apologies ''Mr. John'' that does not share or exchange ideas or knowledge with anyone. The last time I checked, this is a public forum, hence every post is for the public. |

mikeapollo:While the forum is public, it's common sense to know that you should only quote people when your post has a relevance to theirs. why is this so hard for you to understand? |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by mikeapollo: 11:45am On Oct 16, 2025 |
awesomeJ:If someone quotes your comment and you don't like it, you can ignore, or delete the person's post in your subsequent comments. The virtual space where we post our comments on this forum is not reserved for anyone because it is not paid for by anybody! It is childish to be engaging in petty insults because of this. But you may continue if it makes you ''awesome'' this morning. |
| Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by awesomeJ(m): 11:49am On Oct 16, 2025 |
mikeapollo:you're right. But the lesson for you here is simple: get your thoughts together before you rush to quote people with irrelevant comments You don't have to take the lesson, but you'd be better off if you did. If you quote me with a silly comment again, I will object again, maybe next time not so nicely. If your comments make sense, then we'll be all good. |

mikeapollo:Just learn to admit your mistakes rather than trying to litigate unnecessarily. If you quote someone wrongly, own it and move on. You do realize that even in the example I gave you still erroneously referred to me as Mr John. I would be Mr Peter in that context. Maybe you actually don't understand every text I write. That's okay too. Just don't rush to quote(especially if you don't understand the text), and when you make mistakes, own them. |
