No be some people sacrifice all they have here and japa to another country to go start afresh..

God why.He said power is not given. You grab it and run away. Therefore one person should not have monopoly to grab and run away too

Still a huge risk as there is no guarantee of anything and it depends on the capacity of the new politician or military ruler (since some want that). I think we should first solve the problem of getting competent and adequate replacement(s) to choose from before we allow such risks.

For instance, what would be the policy of the new leadership towards market reforms that would give a boost to the stock market?
Would they continue with the present reforms ( fuel subsidy removal, more flexible FX system, tax reforms) or revoke them? Markets would be jittery because of this and would want to know. This uncertainty would keep your portfolio red for a long time in that instance and the longer the uncertainty remains, or any signal of a return to the former system, the more unstable the market would be. This policy and political somersault may show inconsistency to investors and a very bloody portfolio which you (speaking generally here) may not recover from anytime soon.

So first things first, we must answer the question: If we don’t want this Government anymore (which is allowed), what are our options and how would their immediate policies be interpreted by the market?

I don't remember when I have ever told u my life is tired to stocks.
Has my life and the life of many Nigerians been green since someone grabbed power and ran away. How many percent of Nigerians play ur stock market that should make me selfish. The door of grabbing was created by someone and cannot be closed after the person passed through it.The evil that men do this days live with them so thr cannot be peace when many are in hunger and poverty.

We have civilian coup happening all over Africa in the name of election/democracy so if it gives rise to military one.Why should I be against it

Greetings sir,
I have noted your consistence mentioning of the current administration in the negative light in response to economic upheavals in the country. In certain instances, you were right and it is actually your constitutional right to hold them accountable. However, when many hands cook a meal, it usually doesn't taste well. I believe you have over-flogged the issue for long.

While I am no fan of the current administration (did not vote for any either and am also Igbo), I think the way you relay on it its unpatriotic. I haven't gain much from Nigerian government, rather I have been ripped of many opportunities, but we move on. A good number of my professors did tell me "... young man you are good, immediately you graduate leave Nigeria, but i had faith in the path the Goodluck administration was putting in place and stayed back after rejecting some international offers which came almost immediately I graduated, although because it wasn't fully funded and I couldn't pay the pre-requirements. Then Buhari came and it became history. Buhari charted us into this mess and I hope even by miracle, Tinubu might somehow change the path. Just maybe. still, we can't lose hope or fight with ordinary fellow Nigerians. We must not transfer to pain others.

Whether we like it or not, like I repeatedly tell people, we must give accolade to Tinubu in certain areas especially the oil industry, even though we all know he stole the mandate. I respect him for having a vision to be president and achieved it at all old. Personally, it keeps motivating me towards my long-term goal. I put it to you that the likelihood of him not retaining the position after 2027 is abysmally low. I Project him to win by crook or hook come 2027. the signs are already there. Peter Obi might have been a good fit but by Nigeria nature, he may have to wait or dig dirty in order to redeem the dirty. Yet, I don't trust any Nigerian politician.

For me as a young man, all know is to chart my own path to success with honesty and hard work. My pain majorly is the current tax reforms, while progressive, may not produce significant benefit for the common man but for the Top Guy to re-loot. Example is the social empowerment scheme, subsidy is gone statement, costal road project, Refinery Quick fix project, among others.

In summary, sir let go of this issue it derails the tread. My focus is to make some cash here. it may not affect you, but it might a whole lot of others. Plus, it will indirectly. If e go red na to start to bill you here to offset bills oh. Shalom.

I have made over N40m profit just from Loco reccomendations and some guys here will be attacking him.
He is a master of penny stocks with growth potentials. If u know u know, if u don't know, u don't know.
I think the highest I paid for all his reccomendations was N3 .40 for cleansing.
All his reccomendations I followed was 100% minimum profit.
I can't thank the man enough.
Royalex to the world bought at 88k from Loco reccomendations sold half at previous rally, half still in my wallet.
💯 I bought a number of stocks on his recommendation, TIP being the highest currently at over 600% in my portfolio. The main thing is that we should also do our independent research so that even if loco exit you can decide to stay put. Also don't wait for Loco to exit before you do. Generally everyone should work with his our timing and don't blame Loco for your decisions.

My brother, the article above is a warning alarm by Afe Babalola (SAN) on the precarious condition of Nigeria's debt situation and effect on the economy.
Afe Babalola is an industrialist and a big lawyer,. but he able to say the hard truth. He is not like Damgote and others who always want to be politically correct in order not to incur the wrath of the govt and lose its patronage.
When some of us speak against the policies of govt. It is not because we hate the govt or want it to fail. Telling the bitter truth is the best way to help a serious govt. unless the govt is out to deceive and manipulate the people.

It is good to read comments like yours that are devoid of sentiment and bias at least once in a while on this platform.

The truth remains, whether you are here at home or in the diaspora, wishing the country doom will not do anyone any good. For those abroad who think they are already in El dorado, remember, you have kiths and kins here. Remember also, that whether it is A or B that can do it well, you can only benefit from either only if you are close to them. Bad mouthing the country has never and will never bring progress and prosperity.

Kudos once again.
