Market has been largely sideways for the most of October, investors are growing weary, uncertain of tax implication and few may have info on alleged c%up and that also raises uncertainty...........we wait and build liquidity!

I tire oo. October has been one of the best months this year so far. I think only in July has the market performed better in the first 15 days.

This whole media outcry is a result of a contractual lapse on their part.

Evidently Mr Tinubu has deployed his legal skills to incapacitate them else they would have sought redress in the courts instead of resorting to cheap blackmail... smiley

We are watching and waiting. After all, they promise till 22/10/25. But, am suspecting the result will not be good as the price of the share is coming down. Well, in any case if it is not favorable i will sell my entire holdings to enter another stock. I will reshuffle my portfolio before the year runs out. No need in keeping stocks that is not thriving.

One of the best in what terms? If you’re simply looking at the ASI, then I’d ask, can you trade the ASI? If a few highly capitalized stocks move up, does that automatically mean the market performed well?

My definition of a good month is based on how many stocks crossed the 10% threshold within that month. Why? Because out of over 130 listed stocks, it’s very unlikely that we all picked the few top performers. Therefore, the more stocks performing positively, the better the month, irrespective of market capitalization.

A 10% gain in Airtel Africa is the same as a 10% gain in Chams in percentage terms. So, I attached a table showing the number of stocks that gained over 10%, those that lost more than 10%, and the total sum. This month doesn’t even rank among the top four yet.

In July, we had 80 stocks gaining more than 10% and only 4 performing very poorly. That month, almost any stock you held or bought at the beginning would have delivered a decent return. That’s what I call a bull run on steroids. angry

It is obvious u come here for politics. How is it the best. That one or two keep draging that thing called ASI up means the market is wonderful. How many people trade the ASI.I can tell u meany don't even know u can trade it.Only Dangote Cement can drag it to 200k without impact on people portfolio generally.
They need to review how that ASI is calculated or determined .It is now looking like a joke (scam)

There are parameters to assess bull run, not just ASI. Market breadth is a major one which is currently not there

A negative media outcry by business partners against Oando would be be bad for the company if sustained.
Wale T. better address these issues amicably and quickly; a company preparing to raise debt an equity capital needs all the goodwill it can garner for a good result.

The ASI upward movement in the month of October is a pointer to the fact that investors as against speculators are still betting on the NSE

Great job.. Welldone.
That July was truly on steroids.
Probability rate of a random pick by even a first timer churning out +1% and greater or stationary is as high as 9.5/10!

It's the sole indicator of market performance. But in this market, there are the players and there are speculators that try to analyze what they don't understand.

Lol. What’s your understanding? I’m curious, do you even know how the ASI is calculated?

To me, this isn’t entirely correct either. Volume isn’t a determinant of whether someone is an investor or a speculator. If you said that large institutions brought in significant funds in October to move those large-cap stocks, I would agree. Large institutions can also be speculators.

When you trade 1% of deals in the market, you'll be welcome to the conversation. For now keep on accumulating theories with little to no profits.

Some bet9ja watcher in Umuahia asking Jurghen Klopp if he knows about how PL points work.
