With this seemingly unending delay of the ACCESS BANK result, I really think the people managing the bank should be ashamed of themselves really.

ogawisdom:
Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, says the Dangote Petroleum Refinery will list 5–10% of its shares on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) within the next year, a move mirroring previous listings by Dangote Cement and Dangote Sugar.

The refinery also plans to double capacity to 1.4 million barrels per day, surpassing India’s Jamnagar plant — currently the world’s largest.

Dangote hinted at Middle East partnerships and new petrochemical projects, signaling a major shift toward global collaboration in the group’s operations.

Make sure you are liquid enough to join this wonderful train about to take off soon. grin Oga says he will only give out 10% max. At all at all Na him worse pass. grin

You're right that this will be a long transition, especially globally. The idea that by 2050 every vehicle will be electric is ambitious and probably unrealistic for every corner of the world. But it's also true that the shift is already happening, and it’s not just about replacing fuel with batteries—it’s about rethinking how we move, build, and fuel transport systems.

Rather than one replacing the other outright, the future is more likely to be a layered mix of technologies, each suited to different needs and realities.
Itzlinda:
Electric cars will continue to exist hand in hand with fuel cars for a very long time.

I don't see electric cars stopping production of Petroleum cars in the next 50 years sef.

Electric cars need lithium and rare earth metals which are very limited.

For context, to electrify all cars by 2050 the world would need more lithium than the currently known reserve!

Even in rich countries long journeys are more realistic with petrol cars because charging stations are not available in rural areas.

Over-analysis about Aradel grin grin grin

Streetinvestor2:
The people who bought cheap after price manipulation are offloading on your head.It will still come to below #300 .You forgot they manipulated it to #800 initially
Streetinvestor2:
They bought it very cheap on another floor. The manipulation started thr till they moved it to nxg and pushed it to #800.It does not worth above #300 Some bought below #20
Streetinvestor2:
You are right. I bought ucap below #1 and still holding.
It does not change the fact that some stocks on ngx have manipulated price. And aredel falls into such category like transcorp hotel, ote power company etc.We know how they started from the other floor. Then splited the shares like ground nuts.Made so much noise and pushed it to this floor and pumped it to #800.Go check the dividend then and now.Why are the guys who go millions via the spliting offloading it here now.If they had bought it on ngx floor they won't be offloading like what you have now.Infact many will be on loss
Streetinvestor2:
Whr u not informed. It was listed on NASD. This was whr they did all the game and moved shell to ngx.what was the price there. What was the spliting numbers. How was the price pumped up till they moved to ngx. What changed in her financials while all these was happening. This had been my Stand since they came to ngx.i said I will not buy it above #250 since then.It is not a new viev

I think interested investors should prepare and get ready for the listing or public offer; likely 1st quarter 2026.

a lot of money will be refunded due to possible oversubscription. It might even take several months to return some money without interest. I wont be surprised if they prorate the offer such that most people will have about 90% of fund returned back.

Dangote flour pubic offer comes to mind

I learnt the trick after I suffered what you said during the 2005-2007 stock market boom when many applications were refunded

How are you sure it will be oversubscribed.

He will sell 10% for at least $2.5 billion or N3.7 Trillion
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 5:59pm On Oct 22, 2025
Even if it is oversubscribed, Dangote will accept it

His longer term goal is to sell 39% to 35% of Dangote Refinery shares

Exactly what I was thinking. My hunch sef is that it will be undersubscribed because the market doesn’t have enough capital to absorb such.
10% of the listing at ~4 trillion is almost 4% of the entire country’s money supply.
It will even be worse if he lists fertiliser as well. That’s another 3-4 billion dollars that’s needs capital to absorb when listed.

There is a lot money hanging around needing where to be injected to, this investment would be too good to pass off for trillion of uninvested and invested naira. There is only one right now and for a long time to come.

The last FGN sukuk saw subscription of over N2.2 Trillion.
There is a lot of money in circulation

Are you sure, pension fund managers will remove their Trillion of Naira in FGN bond.

Mutual fund managers might liquidate some of the billions of dollars in Eurobond. I sold my Eurobond Fund and convert to Naira at N1480 to buy stocks, I have already gained 10% from the stock

Diasporans will also buy. I am of the opinion that it will be over subscribed. Out of the 10% offered for sale, investors might invest funds which will buy 12% to 15%. I believe they will create room for the absorption of the excess fund
