The capital raise may have to wait till next year. The uncertainty around the CGT vis-a-vis market reaction leading to possible sell-off to beat the CGT may make them postpone the capital raise till next year. mikeapollo: |

Utalinmou:I suspect that the January rally would be moved to December for big boys to exit. Purely a gut feeling ![]() |

GeeKudi:A good result for 2025 Q3 may provide the momentum to raise some capital (if not all) from the market now. Some investors may buy if the results for Q3 are very good. The capital so raised can help put the 2025 accounts in a much better shape, which they can leverage on to raise additional capital in the next phase. Better still, Wale should just talk to his uncle to forget about the CGT nonsense altogether. |

Agbalowomeri:If they successfully dump at a high price, it won't be funny. imagine being stuck in a mediocre stock. I think this is not the best time to jump on rallys |

Utalinmou:There has to be a rally for the heavy dumpers to exit. Whether it will be December or January remains to be seen |

Agbalowomeri:In as much as the this failed government and its bullshit called CGT.What makes u think the big guys on ngx are here for jijo and not long time investor .You see all this your jijo guys here don't control the market or have heavy funds in the market. They are here looking for money to pay bills/Survive .Therefore u are making it sound as if they control the money. Look at ur case if truely u have been out of the market all this time.It made no difference. These guys buying millions of units are not leaving any time soon as they are not foreign investors .Many are serious and strategic investment. How much units or fund do jijo really have in the market..lol |

What a mess. 50% drop in EPS. I remember when people were arguing that recapitalization wouldn't meaningfully impact EPS because banks are money machines. Not so. Can't defy gravity forever. bovali: |

Lol. It's not that bad na. Let's say they make N13 EPS this year, which is conservative. Even if you slap PE of 1.5x, which is low, that's N19.5. Although that's 20+% down from current levels sha... It's the relative underperformance on a grand scale vs. GTCO that is shocking. It's like man vs. machine. Access should be firing its entire board and senior management if they had any shame. Locotrader:DAAR Communications Plc, owners of Africa Independent Television (AIT), have dismissed reports that the station has shut down its Lagos operations. The clarification comes amid reports that the broadcast outfit is facing financial and operational challenges, allegedly forcing it to close its Lagos bureau. In a telephone conversation with TheCable, Collins Uwaeze, marketing executive at DAAR Communications, described the report as “very untrue”. Uwaeze assured staff members that their jobs are secure, adding that the company is rightsizing to improve workflow and efficiency. “The report of AIT Lagos closure is very untrue. What we have is a realignment aimed at making the company more efficient,” Uwaeze said. “We are rightsizing to ensure optimal operations, but the jobs of our staff are still intact.” A staff member who did not want to be named told TheCable that the station was still on air, noting that some restructurings are ongoing. “It’s not true that AIT Lagos has shut down. The station is still broadcasting. What’s happening is downsizing and multitasking—people are doing more roles to keep operations running,” the source said. Founded in 1996 by the late Raymond Dokpesi, AIT operates alongside RayPower FM and Faaji FM under the DAAR Communications group and has been recognised for pioneering private broadcasting in Nigeria. |

HesInMe:Half year eps is N3.72. that is not so good. I pray they achieve eps of N13 like you hope. But from this result and eps of 3.72 in 6months, the price should fall. Maybe that's why they first released fake results to shore up the price before the real thing(although I don't think Access bank released the first fake results) |

Mpeace:They have almost same eps with Fcmb for H1 I don't think it'll be easy to get to 13 fy. If their acquisitions are done in good faith they'll have a great shot in the future but many things will happen in the banking industry next year because of the recapitalization. I wonder what will happen to some banks that are not listed and we have not heard anything concerning their recapitalization efforts. I think we need to start saving up cash. By this time next year e go don clear |

Streetinvestor2:Street you are half correct We have institutional investors and high net worth individuals including stockbrokers who are merely portfolio investors. Those ones are involved in pump and dump. Have you asked yourself why for many years now, December/January rally is almost a guaranteed rally? Like you rightly noted, those rallies are not controlled from here. So those are also Jijo masters |

KarlTom:Their total daily production plus interests in other assets is set to equal or even surpass that of Seplat. Do you know that upon completion of the renaissance/spdc deal, they were able to almost double the production of that Asset? The government praised Renaissance for that feat which increased the Country's daily crude oil production. Meanwhile ND Western also has a different oil asset apart from their 50% stake in Renaissance. |
