Last Night’s Dream

I dreamt I went to fetch water with a bucket. On my way, I passed two people washing their bus.

When I got to the stream, the water was dirty, so I just stood there, staring at it. After a while, I heard a splash — it scared me a bit, but I later realized it was a fish.

I entered the water and saw a big catfish trying to enter a hole. I tried to pull it out, and after some effort, I succeeded — it was a huge catch. Then I noticed another catfish’s tail and tried to pull that one out too, but all my efforts were in vain. Due to the method I used, I wounded it, and I am not sure it would survive.

I called for help, and the two people I’d seen earlier came. One of them started pushing me, but I told him to pull me instead. He finally began to pull, but then he rubbed my armpits playfully — and that’s how I lost the second fish.

He later begged me to cut a piece from the first fish I caught, and I gave him. The other one, who didn’t help, also asked — but I refused to give him.

First thought I had is that you are ungrateful. You seem to be looking at what others have and unhappy about your own portion of life. When something good happens, instead of grabbing it with both hands and thanking God, you’re already looking for something better. You then bite off more than you can chew, and ask others to help you, but these people distract you; like crabs in a barrel, you end up back in the same position. Another thought is the saying “a bird in hand is better than two in the bushes” the lesson here is gratitude. Be grateful for what God gives you instead of looking outside for something better.

Your way out is within you, something that can make you successful is around you but your character to that person is obnoxious. You actually ignored the existence of those people washing bus while heading to the dirty stream, they actually know where a clean water is, later u still called for their help in the dirty stream. The fishes are the distraction u will face in life, remember your goal and go for it, leave the fish. You heard the splash when you were about to turn back, the presence of that fish made you to forget your goal.

Help me understand this dream: 2 crows are playing football, and I’m watching in awe at what I’m seeing.

Then these sea gulls come and scatter their game, followed by many squirrels who come out the trees to protect the crows.

The squirrels stone the sea gulls and chase them away but the crows don’t continue their football game and I’m left feeling sadness.
