Hello please what can make a duck not to stretch/raise his head high I got a male and female from the open market it's not baby duck, it's the local ones , seems the female one is the one stretching neck, the male one is not and she seems more active.

I just observed it today well, they brought them on Friday.

Is it a sickness or what? Can it be treated?

Yes most likely a sign of a problem
You might want to place em on antibiotics for the next five days and see if it gets better

Also watch if he eats properly, goes for a swim and all

It's not eating , not even taking water, the female one is taking water, though still not eating what I give she picks from floor though. I gave them chicken feed, finisher crumbles that I had at home.

I was even thinking maybe it's because they have been caged or tied a long time in the market.

I saw it closing its eyes this morning, though when I tried to catch it it ran.

Its not advisable to buy from those sources if you intend to raise or keep

You can only buy if you want to slaughter and use not for keeps
